Abstract
MODEL PJBL BERBASIS MEDIA SOSIAL TIKTOK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA BERITA (Studi Kuasi Eksperimen kepada Siswa Kelas VIII H SMPN 40 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023) Renata Tresniawati Suwarni ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan membaca berita siswa kelas VIII H SMPN 40 Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kemampuan siswa dalam membaca berita sebelum menerapkan model PjBL berbasis media sosial TikTok, (2) kemampuan siswa dalam membaca warta sesudah menerapkan model PjBL berbasis media sosial TikTok, (3) perbedaan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca berita sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan model PjBL berbasis media sosial TikTok. Metode yang dipakai yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain one group pre-test dan post-test. Tekhnik yang dipakainya berupa tes kemampuan membaca berita kepada 28 siswa kelas VIII H SMPN 40 Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya adalah: (1) kemampuan siswa dalam membaca berita sebelum menerapkan model PjBL berbasis media sosial TikTok berkategori sedang, rata-rata nilainya 53,57, (2) kemampuan siswa dalam membaca warta sesudah menerapkan model PjBL berbasis media sosial TikTok berkategori baik, rata-rata nilainya 76,25, (3) ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan siswa dalam membaca berita sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan model PjBL berbasis media sosial TikTok. Dari hasil uji Test Statistics dalam uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 atau Hₐ diterima dan Hₒ ditolak. Maka dari itu, bisa disimpulkan bahwa model PjBL berbasis media sosial TikTok bisa meningkatkan kemampuan membaca berita siswa kelas VIII H SMPN 40 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. This study aims to describe: (1) students' ability to read news before applying the PjBL model based on TikTok social media, (2) students' ability to read news after applying the PjBL model based on TikTok social media, (3) differences in students' ability to read news before and after implementing the PjBL model based on social media TikTok. The method used is a quasi-experimental design using one group pre-test and post-test. The technique he uses is in the form of a news reading ability test on 28 students in class VIII H of SMPN 40 Bandung for the 2022/2023 academic year. The results of this study include: (1) students' ability to read news before implementing the PjBL model based on TikTok social media is in the moderate category, the average value is 53.57, (2) students' ability to read news after implementing the PjBL model based on TikTok social media categorized as good, the average value is 76.25, (3) there is a significant difference between students' ability to read news before and after implementing the PjBL model based on social media TikTok. The results of the Test Statistics test in the Wilcoxon test show Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 or Hₐ accepted and Hₒ rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PjBL model based on social media TikTok can improve the ability to read news for class VIII H students of SMPN 40 Bandung in the 2022/2023 Academic Year.
