Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya cerminan kehidupan remaja pendaki gunung di masyarakat pada novel Little Edelweiss karya Nita Trismaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan potret para remaja pendaki gunung yang digambarkan dalam struktur novel, kaitan persoalan remaja yang digambarkan dalam novel Little Edelweiss karya Nita Trismaya, dan pemanfaatan novel Little Edelweiss sebagai bahan ajar pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia di SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis strukturalisme Todorov dan analisis sosiologi sastra Ian Watt. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Little Edelweiss memiliki 39 fungsi utama dan 200 sekuen. Tokoh utama dalam novel ini, yaitu Kika dan Arka (remaja yang menyukai keindahan alam dan hobi mendaki gunung). Latar tempat lebih dominan di kota Jakarta, Gunung Kencana, dan Gunung Salak. Penceritaan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu kehadiran pencerita dan tipe penceritaan. Kehadiran pencerita menggunakan sudut pandang ketiga (pengamat) sebagai pencerita ekstern. Tipe penceritaan yang terdapat dalam novel, antara lain wicara yang dilaporkan, wicara alihan, dan wicara yang dinarasikan. Sastra sebagai cerminan masyarakat mengisahkan kehidupan dan perjuangan remaja pendaki gunung di masyarakat, kehidupan remaja perkotaan, serta bahasa yang digunakan. Hasil analisis dimanfaatkan sebagai rancangan bahan ajar apresiasi novel di SMA. Bahan ajar berbentuk cetak berupa modul pembelajaran. Rancangan bahan ajar disesuaikan dengan kurikulum 2013, silabus, kompetensi dasar, dan kompetensi inti pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Adapun, modul pembelajaran yang telah dibuat dinilai oleh ahli sastra dan ahli pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran layak digunakan di lapangan. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the reflection of the life of teenage mountain climbers in society in the novel Little Edelweiss by Nita Trismaya. This research aims to describe the portrait of mountain climbing teenagers depicted in the structure of a novel, the relationship of teenage problems depicted in the novel Little Edelweiss by Nita Trismaya, and the utilization of the novel Little Edelweiss as teaching material for learning Indonesian Language and Literature in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and literary sociology approach. This research uses Todorov's structuralism analysis and Ian Watt's literary sociology analysis. The results showed that the novel Little Edelweiss has 39 main functions and 200 sequences. The main characters in this novel are Kika and Arka (teenagers who love the beauty of nature and hobby of climbing mountains). The setting is more dominant in the city of Jakarta, Mount Kencana, and Mount Salak. The storytelling in this study, namely the presence of the narrator and the type of storytelling. The presence of the narrator uses the third point of view (observer) as the external narrator. The types of storytelling found in the novel include reported speech, transposed speech, and narrated speech. Literature as a reflection of society tells the life and struggles of mountain climbing teenagers in society, urban teenage life, and the language used. The results of the analysis are utilized as the design of teaching materials for novel appreciation in high school. The teaching materials are in the form of printed learning modules. The design of teaching materials is adjusted to the 2013 curriculum, syllabus, basic competencies, and core competencies of Indonesian language learning. Meanwhile, the learning module that has been made is assessed by literature experts and Indonesian language learning experts in high school. The validation results show that the learning module is suitable for use in the field.
