Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan yang dialami siswa dalam menulis cerpen. Salah satu dari permasalahan tersebut adalah siswa masih sulit menemukan dan mengembangkan ide cerita, serta kurangnya minat siswa dalam menulis cerpen. Penggunaan model kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share diharapkan dapat memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran cerpen, peneliti juga sengaja menggunakan media aplikasi Storial untuk menarik perhatian, dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam menulis cerpen. Untuk itu, model kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dengan berbantuan aplikasi Storial diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa di kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share berbantuan aplikasi Storial dengan siswa di kelas kontrol menggunakan model terlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen kuasi dengan desain pretest-posttest- control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Banjaran yang terdiri dari masing-masing 20 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan di kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data kemampuan menulis cerpen di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney memperoleh nilai Asymp sig 0,000. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan nilai signifikansi tersebut 0,000 < 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menulis cerpen yang signifikan antara siswa kelas XI SMA yang mengikuti pembelajaran menulis cerpen menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share berbantuan aplikasi Storial di kelas eksperimen dan model terlangsung di kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian pengambilan keputusan hasil uji hipotesis ini adalah H_0 ditolak dan H_a diterima. This research is motivated by the problems experienced by students in writing short stories. One of these problems is that students still find it difficult to find and develop story ideas, as well as the lack of students' interest in writing short stories. The use of the Think Pair Share type cooperative model is expected to motivate students in learning short stories, researchers also deliberately use Storial application media to attract attention, and students' confidence in writing short stories. For this reason, the cooperative model of the Think Pair Share type with the help of Storial applications is applied in learning to write short stories. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a significant difference between the ability to write short stories of students in the experimental class using the Think Pair Share type cooperative model assisted by Storial applications and students in the control class using the direct model. This study used a quasi-experimental research method with a pretest-posttest-control group design. The sample in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Banjaran consisting of 20 students each in the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results of data analysis, the ability to write short stories in the experimental class and control class using the Mann Whitney test obtained an Asymp sig value of 0.000. These results show that the significance value is 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the ability to write short stories between class XI high school students who take part in learning to write short stories using the Think Pair Share type cooperative model assisted by Storial applications in the experimental class and the live model in the control class. Thus the decision making result of this hypothesis test is that H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted.
