Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penurunan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penggolongan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanan akibat proses pembelajaran hanya mengandalkan buku tematik, yang mana setelah ditelaah lebih lanjut materi pada buku tematik tersebut masih kurang lengkap. Materi belajar masih berupa konsep materi umum dan hanya disajikan berbentuk teks tanpa ada visualisasi gambar, sehingga membuat siswa merasa kesulitan memahami materi belajar dan menimbulkan dampak pada kurang optimalnya perolehan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media video animasi berorientasi microlearning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas 5 SD pada materi penggolongan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan model ADDIE. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah; (1) telah dikembangkannya media video animasi berorientasi microlearning dengan muatan pembelajaran IPA materi penggolongan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanan untuk kelas 5 sekolah dasar; (2) hasil rekapitulasi validasi dari para ahli memperoleh nilai 93,41% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Pada penilaian materi diperoleh nilai sebesar 93,33%. Pada penilaian desain media diperoleh nilai sebesar 91, 25%. Pada penilaian ahli praktisi pembelajaran diperoleh nilai 95,65%. (3) hasil pre test dan post test siswa menunjukkan adanya kenaikan hasil belajar setelah pengimplementasian media video animasi berorientasi microlearning. Pada pre test diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 60,87 dan pada post test diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 81,03. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, media video animasi berorientasi microlearning dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar khususnya pada pembelajaran IPA materi penggolongan hewan berdasarkan jenis makanan. This research was motivated by a decrease in student learning outcomes on animal classification material based on food types due to the learning process only relying on thematic books, which after further examination the material in the thematic book was still incomplete. Learning material is still in the form of general material concepts and is only presented in text form without any image visualization, thus making students feel difficult to understand learning material and causing an impact on less than optimal acquisition of student learning outcomes. Based on this, this study aims to develop microlearning-oriented animated video media to improve the learning outcomes of grade 5 elementary school students on animal classification material based on food type. This research uses the Design and Development (D&D) method with the ADDIE model. The results of this study are; (1) microlearning-oriented animated video media has been developed with science learning content on animal classification materials based on food types for grade 5 elementary schools; (2) the results of the validation recapitulation from experts obtained a score of 93.41% with the category "Very Good". In the material assessment, a value of 93.33% was obtained. In the assessment of media design, a value of 91.25% was obtained. In the expert assessment of learning practitioners, a score of 95.65% was obtained. (3) Student pre-test and post-test results show an increase in learning outcomes after implementing microlearning-oriented animated video media. In the pre-test, the average learning outcome was 60.87 and in the post-test, the average learning outcome was 81.03. Based on this, microlearning-oriented animated video media is declared suitable for use in the learning process and is able to improve the learning outcomes of grade 5 elementary school students, especially in science learning animal classification materials based on food types.
