Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya masalah dalam pemilihan model pembelajaran yang belum tepat dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang berdampak terhadap masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran dasar-dasar perhotelan. Dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut diperlukan adanya Tindakan yaitu memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran dasar-dasar perhotelan agar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu : (1) untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dalam mata pelajaran dasar-dasar perhotelan kelas X Akomodasi Perhotelan SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung. (2) untuk memperoleh informasi hasil belajar mata pelajaran dasar-dasar perhotelan kelas X Akomodasi Perhotelan SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung setelah adanya penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas X jurusan Akomodasi Perhotelan SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung yang berjumlah 38 siswa terdri dari 21 laki-laki dan 17 perempuan. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran dasar-dasar perhotelan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS), dimana nilai rata-rata siswa di siklus II yaitu 7,18 dengan 8,65 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 91,2%. Dalam penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran dasar-dasar perhotelan kelas X Akomodasi Perhotelan SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung. Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran, Think Pair Share (TPS), Hasil Belajar This research was motivated by problems in the selection of inappropriate learning models in the implementation of learning which had an impact on the low learning outcomes of students in the basic subjects of hospitality. In solving these problems, action is needed, namely choosing the right learning model to be applied in the learning process of the basics of hospitality subjects in order to improve student learning outcomes. The objectives of this study are: (1) to obtain information about the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model in the basic subjects of hospitality class X Hospitality Accommodation SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung. (2) to obtain information on the learning outcomes of the basic subjects of hospitality class X Hospitality Accommodation SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung after the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. This research is included in classroom action research (PTK). The data collection methods used are observation, documentation, and tests. The subjects in this study were class X students majoring in Hospitality Accommodation at SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung which amounted to 38 students consisting of 21 men and 17 women. The data analysis used in this study consists of qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in the basics of hospitality subjects through the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model, where the average score of students in cycle II was 7.18 with a completion percentage of 52.9%; then the average value in cycle II was 7.87 with a completion percentage of 66.7%; and in cycle II the average score was 8.65 with a completion percentage of 91.2%. In this study, it was concluded that the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the basic subjects of hospitality class X Hospitality Accommodation SMK ICB Cinta Wisata Bandung.
