Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya literasi budaya materi Keragaman Budaya pada siswa. Rendahnya literasi budaya siswa ini dikarenakan kurangnya guru dalam mengeksplor media pembelajaran dimana media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih berupa gambar cetak dan buku paket materi “Keragaman Budaya” yang tersedia di dalam kelas. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pop-up book untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya siswa kelas IV materi keragaman budaya Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Design and Development (D&D) melalui lima tahapan yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, yang dapat disingkat ADDIE. Pengembangan desain media pop-up book dilakukan peneliti berdasarkan capaian pembelajaran serta ranah kognitif peserta didik yang dilengkapi dengan materi keragaman budaya Indonesia khususnya di Pulau Jawa. Hasil penilaian validasi ahli berupa angket menunjukkan bahwa media pop-up berada pada kategori sangat baik. Media pembelajaran pop-up book materi keragaman budaya juga diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil pre-test dan post-test, hasil perhitungan rata-rata menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran pop-up book berada pada kategori efektif. Dengan hal tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran pop-up book materi keragaman budaya Indonesia ini layak digunakan dan dapat meningkatkan literasi budaya siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. This research is motivated by the low cultural literacy of students' Cultural Diversity material. The low cultural literacy of these students is due to the lack of teachers in exploring learning media where the learning media used are still in the form of printed pictures and material textbooks "Indonesian Cultural Diversity" which are available in the classroom. Based on this, this study aims to develop pop-up book media to increase the cultural literacy of fourth grade students on Indonesian cultural diversity. The research method used in this study is the Design and Development (D&D) method through five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, which can be abbreviated as ADDIE. The development of the pop-up book media design was carried out by researchers based on the learning outcomes and the cognitive domain of students which were equipped with front covers, prefaces, table of contents, instructions for use, learning outcomes, learning objectives and material content of Indonesian cultural diversity, especially in Java. The results of the expert validation assessment in the form of a questionnaire show that the pop-up book media is in the very good category. The learning media pop-up book material on Indonesian cultural diversity was also tested on fourth grade elementary school students through a pre-test and post-test. The trial results showed an increase in pre-test and post-test results, the average calculation results showed that the pop-up book learning media was in the effective category. With this in mind, it can be said that the development of pop-up book learning media for material on Indonesian cultural diversity is appropriate for use and can increase the cultural literacy of fourth grade elementary school students.
