Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan pengelolaan kelas yang saat ini masih menjadi penyebab utama terhambatnya tujuan pembelajaran. Baik guru berpengalaman maupun guru berlatar belakang fresh graduate memiliki tantangan tersendiri dalam pengelolaan kelas. Dengan demikian, perlu adanya pengalaman dan jam terbang tinggi bagi guru, terutama bagi guru kelas dengan latar belakang lulusan baru (fresh graduate). Oleh karena itu, guru kelas berlatar belakang fresh graduate perlu memiliki kompetensi dan keterampilan sebagai pendidik yaitu dalam pengelolaan kelas. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi perspektif guru kelas berlatar belakang fresh graduate tentang keterampilan pengelolaan kelas dan mengeksplorasi problematika yang dihadapi oleh guru kelas berlatar belakang fresh graduate, serta alternatif solusi yang ditempuh dalam mengatasi problematika pengelolaan kelas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deksriptif kualitatif. Dengan tujuan, mendapatkan hasil kondisi riil yang ada di lokasi penelitian untuk menguraikan keadaan sesungguhnya dengan kualitas hubungan yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru kelas berlatar belakang fresh graduate memiliki perspektif pengelolaan kelas yang berbeda-beda. Selanjutnya, terdapat temuan bahwa guru kelas berlatar belakang fresh graduate mengalami problematika pengelolaan kelas secara fisik dan pengelolaan peserta didik. Problematika yang dialami berkenaan dengan pengelolaan secara fisik adalah fasilitas ruang kelas yang tidak memadai dan organisasi tempat duduk yang tidak variatif. Problematika yang dialami berkenaan dengan pengelolaan peserta didik yaitu kesulitan memahami karakteristik peserta didik dan ketidak patuhan peserta didik dalam menaati aturan di dalam kelas. Alternatif solusi yang ditempuh berbeda-beda, namun sering terjadi permasalahan yang sama -------- This research is motivated by clasroom management problems which are currently the main cause of delays in learning objectivies. Both experienced teachers with fresh graduate backgrounds have their own challenges in classroom management. Thus class teachers with fresh graduate backgrounds need to have competence and skills as educators, namely in class management. The aim of the study was to identify the perspectives of classroom teachers with fresh graduate backgrounds regarding classroom management skills and explore the problems faced by class teachers with fresh graduate backgrounds, as well as alternative solutions taken in overcoming classroom management problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. With the aim of getting results from the real conditions that exist in the research location to describe the actual situation with the quality of the relevant relationship. The results of the study show that class teachers with fresh graduate backgrounds have different perspectives on classroom management. Furthermore, there are findings that class teachers with fresh graduate backgrounds experience problems managing the physical class and managing students. The constraints experienced with regard to managing the physical class are inadequate classroom facilities and non-varied seating arrangements. Obstacles experienced regarding the management of students, namely the difficulty in understanding the characteristics of students and the disobedience of students in obeying the rules in the class. Alternative solutions taken are different but often the same problem occurs.
