Abstract

Siswa sebagai individu penting memiliki motivasi belajar, karena sebagai pendukung untuk lebih berhasil di dalam pendidikannya. Ada dua faktor yang mendukung munculnya motivasi belajar yaitu faktor internal di antaranya grit dan faktor eksternal di antaranya dukungan orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara dukungan orang tua dan grit dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional, sampel penelitian terdiri dari 186 siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dari skala dukungan orang tua, skala grit dan skala motivasi belajar. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pemodelan Rasch dengan aplikasi winstep. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis data menghasilkan (1) hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan orang tua dengan motivasi belajar, (2) hubungan positif yang signifikan antara grit dengan motivasi belajar (3) hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan orang tua dan grit dengan motivasi belajar. Sumbangan pengaruh dukungan orang tua dan grit terhadap motivasi belajar siswa secara bersama-sama sebesar 41,9%. Hasil ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi guru dan orang tua untuk mengembangkan motivasi belajar pada diri siswa. The student as an individual need to have learning motivation, because as a supporter to get more successful in their educational life. There are two factors that support the emergence of learning motivation,namely internal factors as grit and the external factors as parental support. The purpose of this research is to examine the correlation between parental support and grit with learning motivation of students. Method of this research is using the correlational method, there are 186 students of 11th grade selected as the sample of this research with random sampling method. The data of this research are obtained from the parental support scale, grit scale, and learning motivation scale. The validity and reliability instrument for this research is used by the Rasch model with Winstep software. The data analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis technique, we resul that (1) the significant positive correlation between parental support and learning motivation, (2) the significant positive correlation between grit and learning motivation, and (3) the significant positive correlation between parental support and grit with learning motivation. The contribution of parental support and grit towards student learning motivation is 41,9%. This result can be used as references for teachers and parents to develop the learning motivation on students.
