Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji permasalah yang menyangkut kebutuhan ruang kelas sekolah dasar berdasarkan proyeksi penduduk usia sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis kebutuhan ruang kelas sekolah dasar berdasarkan proyeksi penduduk usia sekolah dan membandingkannya dnegan Standar Pelayanan Minimal Pendidikan (SPMP) dan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif deskrptif dengan perhitungan proyeksi. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kependudukan yang dipublikasikan oleh BPS Kota Bandung dan Dinas pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi dan waawancara. Teknis analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta kesimpulan dan verifikasi data yang kemudian diolah menggunakan metode proyeksi dengan persamaan matematis (Mathematical Equations Approach). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penduduk di Kecamatan Cibiru terus mengalami peningkatan yang diikuti dengan pertumbuhan penduduk usia sekolah dan penduduk usia masuk sekolah. Jumlah kebutuhan ruang kelas yang dibutuhkan pada tahun 2023 berdasarkan SPMP masih mengalami kekurangan 63 ruang kelas, sedangkan berdasarkan SNP masih mengalami kekurangan sebanyak 97 ruang kelas. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan pemenuhan kebutuhan ruang kelas sekolah dasar dapat dipenuhi sacara kuantitas dan kualitasnya, sehingga seluruh penduduk usia sekolah mendapat kesempatan dan kualitas pembelajaran yang sama. This study examines problems related to the need for elementary school classrooms based on projections of the school-age population. This study aims to describe and analyze the needs of elementary school classrooms based on projections of the school-age population and compare them with the Minimum Education Service Standards (SPMP) and National Education Standards (NES). The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative research method with projection calculations. The source of data used in this study is population data published by BPS Bandung City and the Department of Education. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of documentation studies and interviews. Technical data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, as well as conclusions and data verification which were then processed using the projection method with mathematical equations (Mathematical Equations Approach). The results of this study indicate that the population in Cibiru District continues to increase, followed by growth in the school-age population and school-age population. The number of classrooms required in 2023 based on the SPMP is still experiencing a shortage of 63 classrooms, while based on the SNP there is still a shortage of 97 classrooms. The recommendations from this study are that it is hoped that the fulfillment of the needs of elementary school classrooms can be met in terms of quantity and quality, so that all school-age residents have the same opportunity and quality of learning.
