Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masalah karakter anak yang saat ini mulai mengalami kemunduran sikap bermoral yaitu dalam sikap sopan santun dan tata krama anak belum mampu mengucapkan salam ketika masuk dan keluar ruangan, pada sikap kooperatif dengan teman anak belum mau berbagi serta dalam penggunaan bahasa sehari- hari anak masih menggunakan kata kasar. Berdasarkan teori perkembangan moral menurut Santrock, perkembangan moral berkaitan dengan aturan mengenai apa yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh manusia dalam berinterksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah upaya peneliti dalam meningkatkan karakter islami anak melalui metode bercerita kisah Nabi di TKQ Biatus Sa’adah. Prosedur penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan Pelton yang meliputi identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan penilaian hasil. Hasil analisis data didapatkan melalui lembar observasi, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi untuk mengukur beberapa indikator yaitu sikap sopan santu dan tata krama, sikap kooperatif dengan teman, dan penggunaan bahasa dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Dalam proses penelitian terdapat beberapa anak yang belum mampu menunjukan perilaku karakter, akan tetapi setelah dilaksanakan tiga tindakan terdapat perubahan yang baik dan didapatkan hasil sebesar 76% dari 10 orang anak bersemangat untuk mengikuti berbagai kegiatan yang ada dalam indikator. Hal ini sesuai dengan manfaat metode bercerita menurut Kartino yaitu dapat mengembangkan akhlak mulai peserta didik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode bercerita kisah Nabi dapat dikatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter islami anak usia 5-6 tahun. Dengan ini peneliti merekomendasikan kepada pembaca agar dapat menggunakan metode bercerita dalam proses peningkatan karakter anak, baik itu menggunakan cerita kisah Nabi atau media lainnya yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran. ----- This research is motivated by the problem of the character of children who are currently starting to experience a decline in moral attitudes, namely in the manners and manners of children who have not been able to say greetings when entering and leaving the room, in cooperative attitudes with friends, children do not want to share and in the use of everyday language. Children's Day still uses harsh words. Based on the theory of moral development according to Santrock, moral development is related to the rules about what humans should do in interacting. The purpose of this study is the efforts of researchers in improving the Islamic character of children through the method of telling the story of the Prophet at Biatus Sa'adah Kindergarten. This research procedure uses Pelton's action research which includes problem identification, data collection, action planning, action implementation and outcome assessment. The results of data analysis were obtained through observation sheets, field notes and documentation to measure several indicators, namely manners and manners, cooperative attitudes with friends, and the use of language in daily activities. In the research process, there were several children who had not been able to show character behavior, but after the three actions were carried out there were good changes and the results were 76% of 10 children were excited to take part in the various activities listed in the indicators. This is in accordance with the benefits of the storytelling method according to Kartini, which is that it can develop morals from students. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the method of telling the story of the Prophet can be said to be effective in improving the Islamic character of children aged 5-6 years. With this, the researcher recommends that readers be able to use the storytelling method in the process of improving children's character, be it using stories of the Prophet or other media that are adapted to learning needs.
