Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya perbedaan kemampuan literasi matematis ditinjau dari perbedaan gender siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya di SD. Berdasarkan hasil temuan melalui soal kemampuan literasi matematis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi matematis siswa perempuan lebih unggul dibanding dengan siswa laki-laki. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh tingkat ketercpaian, dan kesulitan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa pada salah satu SD Negeri di Kecamatan Cileunyi pada tahun ajaran 2019-2020 dengan sampel kelas V sebanyak 10 siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini mencakup soal tes kemampuan literasi matematis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persentase tingkat ketercapaian aspek siswa laki-laki dengan siswa perempuan tidak jauh berbeda akan tetapi didominasi oleh siswa perempuan (2) sebagian besar kesulitan yang dialami siswa ketika mengerjakan soal baik siswa laki-laki maupun siswa perempuan adalah sulit untuk memahami soal karena jarang mengerjakan soal pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini bahwa kemampua literasi matematis siswa laki- laki dan siswa perempuan tidak jauh berbeda. ----- This research was motivated by differences in literacy mathematic abilities in terms of differences in gender of students in learning mathematics specifically in elementary school. Based on the result of the question about literacy mathematic ability the result of the literacy mathematic ability of female students are superior compared to male students. The purpose of this study is to achieve a level of mastery, and the difficulty of students’ literacy abilities in terms of gender differences. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were students in one of the public elementary school in Cileunyi in the 2019-2020 school year sample class V of 10 students. The instruments in this study discussed the literacy mathematic ability test and interview questions. The result of this study prove that: (1) the percentage of the success rate of male students and female students is not much different but domination by female students (2) it is difficult to solve problem. Based the result of this study, the literacy mathematic ability of male students and female students is not different.
