Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya persaingan di dunia kerja yang berdampak harus adanya pengembangan model pembelajarannya guna menuntut lulusannya lebih kompeten. Tuntutan lulusan Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan harus siap menghadapi persaingan kerja dimasa yang akan datang. Salah satu faktor yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa untuk dapat bersaing di dunia kerja adalah memiliki kompetensi yang baik. Pada umumnya kompetensi yang diterapkan pada perkuliahan berhubungan dengan beberapa aspek kompetensi yang ada seperti afektif, psikomotor, dan kognitif. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran efektivitas pendekatan pembelajaran kompetensi pada perkuliahan praktik kayu di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan DPTS FTPK UPI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Instrumen pengumpulan data untuk mengetahui tingkatan kompetensi mahasiswa dengan menggunakan angket untuk aspek afektif dan psikomotor dan menggunakan tes untuk aspek kognitif. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 70 orang. Angket dan soal tes disebar kepada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan yang sedang mengontrak mata kuliah Praktik Kayu yaitu angkatan 2017. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji reabilitas, uji tingkat kesukaran untuk instrumen tes, uji daya pembeda untuk instrumen tes, dan uji normalitas, lalu dipersentasekan tingkatan efektivitas dari setiap aspeknya. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran kompetensi pada perkuliahan Praktik Kayu di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan DPTS FPTK UPI sudah cukup efektif yang dilihat dari 3 aspek yaitu afektif, psikomotor, dan kognitif. Temuan respon mahasiswa pada aspek afektik menunjukan pada rasio sangat efektif, pada aspek psikomotor mahasiswa menunjukan pada rasio cukup efektif, sedangkan pada aspek kognitif menunjukan pada rasio cukup efektif. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran kompetensi yang digunakan pada perkuliahan Praktik Kayu di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan cukup efektif digunakan.--------This research is motivated by competition in the world of work which has an impact on the development of learning models in order to demand more competent graduates. The demands of graduates of the Building Engineering Education Program must be ready to face job competition in the future. One of the factors that must be possessed by students to be able to compete in the world of work is having good competence. In general, the competencies applied in lectures relate to several aspects of existing competencies such as affective, psychomotor, and cognitive. The aim to be achieved from this research is to describe the effectiveness of the competency learning approach in the lectures on wood practice in the Building Engineering Education Study Program. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The instrument of data collection is to determine the level of student competence by using questionnaires for affective and psychomotor aspects and using tests for cognitive aspects. The sample in this study amounted to 70 people. Questionnaires and test questions were distributed to students of the Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Program who were studying Wood Practice courses, who is in the 2017’s class. The data analysis techniques used were validity test, reliability test, difficulty level test for test instruments, power differentiaty test for test instruments, and normality test, then the level of effectiveness of each aspect is presentated. The results of this study conclude that the competency learning approach in the lectures of Wood Practice in the Building Engineering Education Study Program is quite effective enough seen from 3 aspects namely affective, psychomotor, and cognitive. The findings of student responses to the affective aspects show a very effective ratio, in the psychomotor aspects students show the ratio is quite effective, while the cognitive aspects show the ratio is quite effective. Then it can be concluded that the competency learning approach used in lecturing Wood Practices in the Building Engineering Education Study Program is quite effective to use.
