Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru Jaringan dasar SMK Sahida terdapat beberapa kendala saat pembelajaran, salah satunya adalah keterbatasan media pembelajaran, dan alat peraga yang digunakan, sehingga menyebabkan kurangnya pemahaman siswa yang ditandai dengan kecilnya nilai siswa pada mata pelajaran tersebut. Selain itu untuk menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang efektif, metode pembelajaran yang digunakan juga harus tepat. Untuk itu, penerapan metode picture and picture dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan multimedia interaktif berbasis metode pembelajaran picture and picture untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMK. Model penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan kuasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian merupakan siswa kelas X TKJ di SMK Sahida. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Peningkatan pemahaman siswa dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbasis metode picture and pictur memperoleh gain rata-rata sebesar 0.47, sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh gain rata-rata sebesar 0.29; 2) Hasil respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbasis metode picture and picture rata-rata persentase skor sebesar 83.02% dengan kategori sangat baik. 3) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbasis metode pembelajaran picture and picture cukup efektif, saat pembelajaran berlangsung siswa terlihat antusias mengikuti setiap rangkaian pembelajaran yang ada pada multimedia. Itu artinya multimedia ini dapat menjadi alternatif untuk penyampaian materi dan peningkatan pemahaman. Based on the results of interviews with teachers at the Sahida Vocational School there are several problems during student learning process, one of which is learning media, and teaching tools used, thus causing the lack of student understanding which is characterized by the score which achieved by the students in this subject. In addition to creating an effective learning process, the learning methods used must also be correct. For this reason, the application of the picture and picture method can be a solution to overcome this problem. The purpose of this study is to apply interactive multimedia based on picture and picture learning methods to improve the understanding of vocational students. The research method used in this study is quantitative with quasi-experiment model. The research sample was a class X TKJ student at Sahida Vocational School. The results of this study are: 1) The understandings of students which learning the subject using interactive multimedia based on the picture and picture method is having the average gain increased by 0.47, while the control class only increase the average gain of 0.29; 2) The results from the student responses to the learning process using interactive multimedia based on the picture and picture method, having the average score percentage of 83.02% which is in a very good category. 3) The implementation of learning using interactive multimedia based on picture and picture learning methods is quite effective, during the learning process, students look enthusiastic to follow every learning series that is in multimedia. That means this multimedia can be an alternative for delivering material and increase understanding.
