Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis serta pencapaian self efficacy antara peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran strategi konflik kognitif dengan peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan populasinya adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII pada salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran strategi konflik kognitif dan kelompok kontrol yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis, serta skala sikap self efficacy. Data yang dianalisis adalah data pretes, postes, N-gain kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis, serta data posrespon skala sikap self efficacy. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U dan uji t. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: 1) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran strategi konflik kognitif lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, 2) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran strategi konflik kognitif lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, 3) self efficacy peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran strategi konflik kognitif tidak lebih baik daripada peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. This study aims to analyze the improvement of mathematical critical and creative thinking abilities and the achievement of self-efficacy among students who obtain cognitive conflict strategy learning with students who receive conventional learning. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a population of all eighth-grade students in one of the middle schools in South Tangerang City. The sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental group that received cognitive conflict strategy learning and the control group that received conventional learning. The instruments used in this study were tests of mathematical critical and creative thinking abilities, as well as the scale of self-efficacy attitudes. The data analyzed were pretest, posttest, N-gain mathematical critical and creative thinking abilities, and post-response data on the scale of self-efficacy attitudes. Data were analyzed by using the Mann-Whitney U test and t-test. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) the increase in mathematical critical thinking abilities of students who acquired cognitive conflict strategy learning are higher than those of students who received conventional learning, 2) the increased mathematical creative thinking abilities of students who had higher cognitive conflict strategy learning than students who get conventional learning, 3) the self efficacy of students who get cognitive conflict strategy learning are not better than those of students who get conventional learning.
