Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi yang dilihat dari hasil Penilaian Akhir Semester ganjil SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Sumedang tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan self-confidence terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey eksplanatori. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 427 siswa. Dengan menggunakan teknik ramdom sampling dan proportional random sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 206 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kecerdasan emosional siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, self-confidence siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, dan hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang; (2) Kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi; (3) Self-confidence berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi.;---This research is based on low learning result of economics subjects seen from the result of PAS SMA Negeri in Sumedang Regency for the academic years 2017/2018. This research is aimed at understanding the effect of emotional intelligence and self-confidence toward students achievement in economics subject. The method used in this research is explanatory survey. The population included in the research is 427 students. By using random sampling technique and proportional random sampling technique, 206 students are required as sample. Multiple linear regression analysis is used as data analysis technique. The research shows that: (1) the level of emotional intelligence is considered high, students self-confidence is also high, and the whole students achievement is considered sufficient in the mid level; (2) emotional intelligence has positive effect toward students achievement on economics subject; (3) self-confidence has positive effect toward students achievement on ecomonics subject.
