    Abstract

    Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah mengenai kemampuan komunikasi matematis
    dan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA. Rendahnya kemampuan ini diantaranya adalah
    karena kurangnya stimulus dan kesempatan kepada siswa dalam pencapaian
    kemampuan komunikasi matematis maupun berpikir kreatifnya. Model
    pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi
    matematis dan berpikir kreatif dalam penelitian ini adalah Model Eliciting
    Activities (MEA’s) dan Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan dalam penelitian
    ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan pencapaian kemampuan
    komunikasi matematis dan berpikir kreatif siswa yang belajar menggunakan
    penerapan MEA’s dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan penerapan PBL.
    Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan populasinya adalah seluruh
    siswa kelas XI SMAN 15 Bandung. Sampelnya adalah dua kelas yaitu kelas XI
    MIPA 3 yang diberi penerapan MEA’s dan kelas XI MIPA 4 yang diberi
    penerapan PBL. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi
    matematis dan berpikir kreatif siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik uji
    Mann-Whitney,dan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data didapatkan kesimpulan: 1)
    Terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang
    memperoleh pembelajaran MEAs dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran
    PBL secara keseluruhan dengan hasil peningkatan yang lebih baik diperoleh
    siswa yang mendapatkan penerapan MEAs; 2) Terdapat perbedaan pencapaian
    kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran MEAs dengan
    siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran PBL secara keseluruhan dengan hasil
    peningkatan yang lebih baik diperoleh siswa yang mendapatkan penerapan MEAs;
    3) Terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa
    yang memperoleh pembelajaran MEAs dengan siswa yang memperoleh
    pembelajaran PBL berdasarkan kategori kemampuan awal matematisnya (tinggi,
    sedang, dan rendah) dengan hasil peningkatan yang lebih baik diperoleh siswa
    yang mendapatkan penerapan MEAs; 4) Terdapat perbedaan pencapaian
    kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran MEAs dengan
    siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran PBL berdasarkan kategori kemampuan
    awal matematisnya (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah) dengan hasil peningkatan yang
    lebih baik diperoleh siswa yang mendapatkan penerapan MEAs pada kategori
    sedang dan rendah.---------The main focus of this research is on mathematical communication skills and
    creative thinking high school students. Low ability which this is due to the lack of
    stimulus and an opportunity for students in the achievement of mathematical
    communication skills and creative thinking. The learning model used in the
    achievement of mathematical communication skills and creative thinking in this
    study is a model eliciting Activities (MEA's) and Problem Based Learning (PBL).
    The purpose of this research is to analyze and compare the achievement of
    mathematical communication skills and creative thinking of students who learn to
    use the application with the MEA's students learn to use the application of PBL.
    This study is a quasi-experimental population was all students of class XI SMAN
    15 Bandung. The samples were two classes of grade XI MIPA 3 by the
    application of MEA's and class XI MIPA 4 by the application of PBL. The
    instrument used was a test of mathematical communication skills and creative
    thinking of students. Statistical analysis of the data using the Mann-Whitney test,
    and t-test. Based on the analysis of data obtained conclusions: 1) There are
    differences in mathematical achievement of communication skills of students who
    received MEAs learning with students who received PBL learning overall with
    results better improvement obtained by the students who get the implementation
    of MEAs; 2) There is a difference in the achievement of creative thinking abilities
    of students who received MEAs learning with students who received PBL
    learning overall with results better improvement obtained by the students who get
    the implementation of MEAs; 3) There are differences in mathematical
    achievement of communication skills of students who received MEAs learning
    with students who received PBL learning initial mathematical ability by category
    (high, medium, and low) with results better improvement obtained by the students
    who received application of MEAs; 4) There are differences in the achievement of
    creative thinking abilities of students who received teaching MEAs with students
    who received PBL learning by category starting capabilities mathematical (high,
    medium, and low) with results better improvement obtained by the students who
    received application of MEAs in the category of high, medium and low.
