Abstract

Peneliti mengidentifikasi adanya permasalahan pada pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Adanya siswa yang tidak dapat menyampaikan pesan melalui tulisan, rasa kurang percaya diri dalam menulis, dan kekurangan pengetahuan yang menjadi sumber gagasan. Model investigasi kelompok berbasis kecerdasan majemuk dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut karena membantu siswa belajar sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas IPA dan IPS dengan menggunakan model investigasi kelompok berbasis kecerdasan majemuk. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain faktorial. Berdasarkan analisis data, nilai rata-rata pretest kelas IPA sebesar 60,89, sedangkan pretest kelas IPS sebesar 55,52. Ada pun nilai rata-rata posttest kelas IPA sebesar 81,72, sedangkan rata-rata posttest kelas IPS sebesar 79,15. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi kelas IPA dengan kelas IPS memiliki perbedaan peningkatan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dengan model investigasi kelompok berbasis kecerdasan majemuk. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan SPSS menunjukkan bahwa data memiliki nilai sig. = 0,769. Hal tersebut berarti sig = 0,769 > α = 0,05, menunjukkan bahwa H1 diterima. Dari hasil peningkatan gain ternormalisasi ternyata siswa yang berlatar IPS memperoleh peningkatan yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan siswa yang berlatar IPA. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model investigasi kelompok berbasis kecerdasan majemuk dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi.;--- The researcher identified some problems in learning writing explanatory text. The inability of students to convey a written message, lack of confidence in writing and not having sufficient knowledge were the issues that become the background of this study. Group investigation model-based multiple intelligence surely could solve those problems because it did help students learn according to their needs. This study aimed to find out students’ ability in writing explanatory text in both science and social class by using group investigation model-based multiple intelligences. The method used in this research is quasi experimental method with factorial design. Based on data analysis, the average pretest grade of science class is 60,89, while the pretest of social class is 55,52. Moreover, the average value of posttest science class is 81.72, while the average posttest class social class is 79,15. The result of hypothesis test using t-test showed that the ability of writing explanatory text between science class with social class has difference of increase after the treatment with model of group-based multiple intelligences. The calculation result using SPSS showed that the data has sig value. = 0,769. This means sig = 0.769> α = 0,05, indicating that H1 is accepted. From that increasing, we can see that social class students improved more than science students. Therefore, the results of the study indicate that the investigation model of group-based multiple intelligences could progressively improve students’ ability in writing explanatory text.
