Abstract
Masalah yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya motivasi belajar para siswa SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi, khususnya pada mata pelajaran produktif Kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran. Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai pengaruh kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 57 siswa Kelas XI mata pelajaran produktif Administrasi Perkantoran di SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey eksplanatori. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model skala Likert. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal guru berada pada kategori cukup efektif, dan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran produktif Kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran di SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan koefisien regresi sederhana, diperoleh hasil bahwa kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal guru memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar guru lebih meningkatkan cara komunikasi yang mudah dipahami oleh siswa serta mampu merespon terhadap kejujuran atau informasi yang disampaikan oleh siswa, sehingga dapat terjalin komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif secara langsung mampu mempengaruhi dan memotivasi siswa. Serta guru mampu menciptakan kondisi pembelajaran yang kondusif seperti ice breaking ketika akan memulai pembelajaran, serta mampu mendengarkan dan memberi solusi dari masalah belajar yang dialami oleh siswa. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Interpersonal Guru, Motivasi Belajar Siswa The problem to be studied in this research was learning motivation of students in Vocational School of Sangkuriang 1, Cimahi which is not optimal especially on productive subject office administration in grade XI. This study examined the effect of interpersonal communication skill of teacher towards students' learning motivation. Respondents in this research were 57 students of grade XI in productive subject office administration class in Vocational School of Sangkuriang 1, Cimahi. The method used in this research was explanatory survey method. The data were obtained through a questionnaire with Likert scale model. The collected data were analyzed by using simple regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the interpersonal communication skill of teacher was on quite effective category and students' learning motivation on the productive subject in grade XI on office administration class in Vocational School of Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi was on middle category. Based on the calculation by simple regression coefficient, it is showed that the interpersonal communication skill of teacher has a positive and significant impact on students’ learning motivation. Therefore, this study suggests that teacher need to enhance the communication way that is understandable by the students and they are able to respond the honesty or information submitted by the students, so it can establish an effective interpersonal communication directly that are able to influence and motivate students. And teachers are able to create conducive learning conditions such as ice breaking when it will start learning, and able to listen and provide solutions to learning problems experienced by students.
