Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desain tentang mengembangakan bahan ajar dengan pendekatan Open Ended untuk menumbuhkan kompetensi kreatifitas matematis siswa SMP pada bab segiempat. Penelitian ini mempunyai tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan (Preparation Design Phase), tahap eksperimen (Design Experiment) dan analisis tinjauan (Retrospective Analaysis) berdasarkan kesulitan belajar siswa yang dibuat menggunakan instrumen Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). Masalah yang melatarbelakangi dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa di Indonesia berdasarkan rangking PISA dan kurang diperkenalkannya soal berbasis masalah kepada siswa SMP di kurikulum 2006 yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengatasi hambatan belajar yang dialami siswa serta menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Open Ended yang mempunyai tiga buah indikator yaitu kemampuan berpikir banyak jawaban (fluency), kemampuan memikirkan alternatif jawaban (flexibility), dan kemampuan mengembangkan ide (originality). Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukan hambatan belajar yaitu siswa belum memahami sifat-sifat dari segiempat serta hubungan antara sebuah segiempat dan segiempat lainnya. Selain itu, bahan ajar yang dibuat mampu menumbuhkan kompetensi kreatifitas matematis siswa SMP tetapi belum mengatasi semua hambatan belajar siswa. This research is a design research that talk about how to improving the learning materials with Open Ended approach to develop the competence of mathematical creativity for junior high school students in quadrilateral subject. This research has three steps started from Preparation Design Phase, Design Experiment and Retrospective Analysis based on student’s learning obstacle and it made with Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). The problems which occurs the writters to did the research was the ability to solve the problems for indonesian student at the low level based on PISA’s rank and the practice based on problems for junior high school students is less recognize in 2006 curiculum that makes a that implied for mathematical creative thinking. The research purposes is to know and reduce the learning obstacle that occur the students and to develop the ability of creative thingking for junior high students. This research use Open Ended approach that has three indicators, there are thinking about many solutions ability (fluency), thinking about alternative solutions (flexibility), thinking about the ideas (originality). The results are, the learning obstacle found the students cannot understand the characteristtic of quadrilateral and the students cannot understand the connection between one quadrilateral and the others. Beside that, the learning materials that made are capable to develop the competence of mathematical creativity for junior high school students but it isn’t enough to reduce all of the student’s learning obstacle.
