Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih banyaknya siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM, dari 40 orang siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM hanya sekitar 43% saja ,dan selebihnya yaitu sebanyak 57% memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM. Demikian pula dengan cara mengajar guru, pemilihan tekhnik dan metode pembelajaran kurang bervariasi. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan masih bersifat konvensional, sehingga siswa cenderung kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran. Siswa hanya berperan sebagai penerima informasi secara pasif. Adapun rumusan masalahnya yaitu bagaimana pelaksanaan dan bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui model Cooperative Learning tipe STAD? Penelitian ini ditujukan pada penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe STAD tentang sifat-sifat bangun ruang sederhana. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengena pelaksanaan, dan memperoleh gambaran mengenai peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe STAD dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah PTK yang mengadaptasi model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart dengan 3 siklus, setiap siklusnya dilakukan satu tindakan. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas IV semester 2 SD Negeri 1 Jayagiri Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang berjumlah 35 orang siswa. Hasil Penelitian dengan menerapkan model Cooperative Learning tipe STAD dalam pembelajaran matematika menunjukkan adanya peningkatan proses pembelajaran, siswa terlihat senang dan terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan. Begitu pula siswa yang memperoleh nilai mencapai KKM mengalami peningkatan. Banyaknya siswa yang mencapai KKM pada siklus I sebanyak 57,1%, sedangkan pada siklus II menjadi 71,4%, dan pada siklus III menjadi 91,4%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa tentang sifat-sifat bangun ruang sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, ada beberapa rekomendasi yang hendak disampaikan, antara lain: 1. Pembelajaran melalui model cooperative learning tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) yang telah diterapkan di kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Jayagiri dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. 2. Pembelajaran melalui model cooperative learning tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) akan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa jika interaksi yang terjadi antar siswa adalah interaksi yang mengkaji materi pembelajaran sehingga diperlukan pengawasan yang lebih agar interaksi tersebut dapat terlaksana. Kata Kunci : Komunikasi Matematis dan Cooperative Learning tipe STAD Abstract : This research is based on the student who still have score below KKM. Only 40% reached score for KKM required among 40 student and the rest of it about 75% were below KKM. And how the teacher teaching , the technique selection and teaching methode less varied. Learning is still convensionally, so that the student tends to less active in learning. The student play as information taker pasively. The problem pattern is how to do and to increase the ability of student’s communication matematicly by the cooperative learning STAD type model?. This research is aimed to give cooperative learning STAD type model about simple space shape condition. Based on that matter, the aim of this research is PTK who adapt Kemmis model and Mc. Taggart with 3 siclus, each siclus is done with one act. The subject for this research is grade for secon semester of SD Negri 1 Jayagiri Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat consist of 35 student. The result of the research is to give cooperative learning STAD type model in math lesson showed that there is an increasement in learning process, the student look eager and involved active in learning. The ability of student’s communication mathematically having progres. And so is the student who reach KKM the amount of student who reach KKM in the first siclus is as much as 57,1 %, while in the second siclus become 71,4 %, and in the third siclus as much become 91,4%. Based on the result of the research it can be conclude that the teaching cooperative learning STAD type model can increase the ability of student’s communication matematically about simple space shape condition. Based on the research, there are some recomendation will be shared, among them are: 1. Learning by cooperative learning STAD which has been given in grade IV SD Negeri 1 Jayagiri can be used as learning choise in math to promote the ability of student’s communication mathematically. 2. Learning by cooperative learning STAD type model will be able to promote the ability of student’s communication mathematically if the interaction between the student’s is the interaction wich learn the lesson subject so it is necessary to have more attention that interaction can be done correctly.
