Abstract
Permasalahan yang dikaji adalah rendahnya motivasi pegawai Daop 2 yang terlihat dari data mangkir, keterlambatan, pulang sebelum waktunya, bermain game saat bekerja, dan memperpanjang waktu istirahat. Hal ini harus segera ditangani agar tidak merugikan Daop 2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran mengenai motivasi dan pengembangan karir Daop 2, juga besarnya pengaruh pengembangan karir terhadap motivasi. Aspek yang diteliti yaitu pengembangan karir dan motivasi pegawai Daop 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verivikatif, dengan 79 pegawai sebagai responden dan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel jenuh. Angket yang digunakan adalah angket model skala Likert. Teknik analisis yang digunakan koefisien korelasi pearson product moment dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan karir dan motivasi pegawai Daop 2 berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil perhitungan korelasi sebesar 0,692 yang artinya terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara pengembangan karir dan motivasi. Hasil perhitungan analisis regresi linier sederhana didapat persamaan Y=19,72+0,708X dan koefisien determinasi 47,8% yang menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh pengembangan karir terhadap motivasi pegawai Daop 2, dan sisanya sebesar 52,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yaitu: gaji, tunjangan, kondisi kerja, prestasi, dan lainnya. Penulis menyarankan, pengembangan karir perusahaan harus lebih transparan dan memperbaiki komunikasi dengan pegawai agar kebutuhan pengembangan karir terpenuhi dan meningkatkan motivasi pegawai. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan karir, motivasi The problem which examined in this research in the lack of employee motivation at Daop 2 which is characterized by the absent data, late, go home early, playing games at work, and extend the break time. These problem should be overcome in order to not inflict a financial loss to Daop 2. This research aims to know the overview of motivation and career development Daop 2, also how big the influence of career development on motivation. The aspect of this subjects is career development and employee motivation at Daop 2. This research used a descriptive and verification methods, with 79 employees as respondents and used withdrawal saturated sample technique. The questionnaires based on Likert scale models. The analysis technique used perason product moment corelation coefficient and simple linear regression analysis. The research showed that career development and employee motivation in Daop 2 is at the middle state. The result of correlation 0,692 which means that there is a high relationship between career development and motivation. Simple liniear regression analysis calculation results obtained in the equation Y=19,72+0,708X and determination coefficient 47,8% which indicate the influence career development on employee motivation in Daop 2, and the remaining 52,2% is influence by other factor, such as: salary, subsidy, work condition, achievement, and other. Therefore author suggests career development in company have to more transparent and repair comunication with employee in order to fulfill career development needs and increase employee motivation.
