Abstract
Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis merupakan kemampuan seseorang dalam menangkap makna dari ide-ide matematis abstrak dan mengorganisir pengetahuan mereka dengan menghubungkan ide-ide tersebut dengan apa yang telah mereka ketahui sebelumnya. Self-efficacy merupakan salah satu faktor personal yang dapat berpengaruh pada kemampuan matematika seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) berdasarkan level self-efficacy (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX di salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Bandung, Provinsi Jawa Barat yang telah mempelajari SPLDV. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu skala self-efficacy, tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level self-efficacy terbanyak yang dimiliki siswa yaitu level self-efficacy sedang. Tidak terdapat siswa yang mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Terlebih lagi, ada satu siswa yang tidak memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi SPLDV berdasarkan level self-efficacy tinggi belum mampu memenuhi sampai lima indikator. Siswa yang memiliki level self-efficacy sedang mampu memenuhi tiga indikator, sedangkan siswa yang memiliki level self-efficacy rendah belum mampu memenuhi sampai dua indikator. Mathematical concept understanding is a person's ability to capture the meaning of abstract mathematical ideas and organize their knowledge by connecting these ideas with what they already know. Self-efficacy is one of the personal factors that can affect a person's mathematical ability. This study aims to describe the understanding of mathematical concepts of junior high school students on the material of the System of Two-Variables Linear Equations (STVLE) based on the level of self-efficacy (high, medium, and low). The method used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were ninth grade students in one of the junior high schools in Bandung Regency, West Java Province, who have learned studied STVLE. The data collection instrument used was the self-efficacy scale, mathematical concept understanding ability test, and interview guidelines. The results showed that the most self-efficacy level owned by students was moderate self-efficacy level. There are no students who are able to fulfill all indicators of mathematical concept understanding ability. Moreover, there was one student who did not fulfill all indicators of mathematical concept understanding ability. Students' mathematical concept understanding on STVLE material based on high self-efficacy level has not been able to fulfill up to five indicators. Students who have a moderate self-efficacy level are able to fulfill three indicators, while students who have a low self-efficacy level have not been able to fulfill up to two indicators.
