Abstract
PENGARUH MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP KEMANDIRIAN PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV SD NEGERI CIKATE ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap pembentukan karakter mandiri peserta didik. Karakter mandiri menjadi bahasan utama atas permasalahan yang banyak terjadi di lingkup usia sekolah dasar. Rendahnya tingkat kemandirian peserta didik dalam aktivitas pmbelajaran, memiliki hubungan sejajar dengan motivasi belajar yang menjadi dasar yang mendorong dan menggerakan peserta didik memiliki karakter mandiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional untuk mengkaji hubungan antar variable penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Cikate Sukabumi, sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Kelas IV. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengkaji korelasi antar variable adalah angket denggan menggunakan rating scale. Analisis data hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan inferensial dalam aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara motivasi belajar dengan karakter mandiri peserta didik. penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi dengan karakter mandiri peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Cikate. Motivasi mempengaruhi kemandirian peserta didik sebesar 32,2%. Kekuatan hubungan antara motivasi dengan karakter mandiri peserta didik termasuk kategori sedang. Semakin tinggi motivasi pada diri peserta didik maka semakin tinggi pula karakter mandiri peserta didik. Kata kunci : Kemandirian siswa, Motivasi belajar THE EFFECT OF LEARNING MOTIVATION ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INDEPENDENT CHARACTER IN CLASS IV STUDENTS OF SD NEGERI CIKATE ABSTRAK This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on the formation of independent character of students. Independent character is the main discussion of the problems that often occur in the scope of elementary school age. The low level of independence of students in learning activities has a parallel relationship with learning motivation which is the basis that encourages and moves students to have independent characters. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with correlational methods to examine the relationship between research variables. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Cikate Sukabumi, the sample used in the study was Class IV. The research instrument used to examine the correlation between variables is a questionnaire using a rating scale. Analysis of research data was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistics in the SPSS application. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between learning motivation and the independent character of students. This study found that there was a significant relationship between motivation and the independent character of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Cikate. Motivation affects the independence of students by 32.2%. The strength of the relationship between motivation and the independent character of students is in the medium category. The higher the self- motivation of students, the higher the independent character of students. Keyword : Independent character of student, Learning motivation
