Abstract
ABSTRAK Rendahnya penguasaan konsep materi Hukum Newton tentang gerak dapat diatasi dengan memberikan perlakuan (treatment) yang tepat pada saat pembelajaran di kelas. Salah satu treatment yang dapat diberikan adalah Live Worksheet berbasis model Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas penggunaan Live Worksheet berbasis model Discovery Learning terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa pada ranah kognitif. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Pre Experimental dengan desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah one group pretest and posttest design. Partisipan penelitian ini sebanyak 27 siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA yang berada di Kabupaten Majalengka. Live Worksheet berbasis model Discovery Learning divalidasi menggunakan lembar wawancara terstruktur dan hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan perhitungan koefisien V Aiken dan statistika deskriptif. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa Live Worksheet berbasis model Discovery Learning sangat valid untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran materi Hukum II Newton. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep siswa, diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan posttest. Kemudian semua data hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan Effect Size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai peningkatan N-Gain pada aspek kognitif C2 sebesar 0,71 dengan kategori tinggi; C3 sebesar 0,70 dengan kategori tinggi; dan C4 sebesar 0,62 dengan kategori sedang. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap Live Worksheet berbasis Discovery Learning ini sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Live Worksheet berbasis model Discovery Learning pada materi hukum II Newton sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa SMA. ABSTRACT The low mastery of Newton's Law of motion material concepts can be overcome by providing the right treatment during class learning. One of the treatments that can be given is a Live Worksheet based on the Discovery Learning model. This study aims to see the effectiveness of using Live Worksheets based on the Discovery Learning model on students' mastery of concepts in the cognitive domain. This type of research uses Pre Experimental with the experimental design used is one group pretest and posttest design. The participants of this study were 27 students of class X in one of the senior high schools in Majalengka Regency. The Live Worksheet based on the Discovery Learning model was validated using a structured interview sheet and the results were analyzed using Aiken's V coefficient calculation and descriptive statistics. The results of expert validation show that the Live Worksheet based on the Discovery Learning model is very valid for use in learning Newton's Second Law. Meanwhile, to determine the mastery of students' concepts, obtained from the pretest and posttest scores. Then all the data from the pretest and posttest were analyzed using the N-Gain and Effect Size tests. The results showed that the value of increasing N-Gain in the cognitive aspect of C2 was 0.71 with a high category; C3 is 0.70 with high category; and C4 of 0.62 in the medium category. In addition, students' responses to this Discovery Learning-based Live Worksheet were very good. Based on the results of these data, it can be concluded that the use of Live Worksheets based on the Discovery Learning model in Newton's second law material is very effective in increasing the mastery of high school students' concepts.
