Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengjui kontribusi penerimaan orang tua dan teman sebaya terhadap harga diri emerging adulthood di Jawa Barat. Responden pada penelitian ini (N=462) adalah individu yang sedang berada dalam periode emerging adulthood yang berusia 18-24 tahun di Jawa Barat. Responden mengisi kuesioner yang telah di adaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia dengan reliabilitas setiap instrument adalah 0.86 untuk instrumen harga diri (The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale), 0.92 untuk instrumen penerimaan ayah (Parental Acception Rejection Questionnary Father Version), 0.93 untuk instrumen penerimaan ibu (Parental Acception Rejection Questionnary Motther Version), dan 0.79 untuk instrumen penerimaan teman sebaya (Perception Acceptance Scale). Teknik pengambilan sample yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling, untuk teknik analisis digunakan analisis regresi sederhana untuk mengetahui kontribusi penerimaan orang tua terhadap harga diri, dan kontribusi penerimaan teman sebaya terhadap harga diri, selanjutnya dilakukan analisis regresi berganda untuk mengetahui kontribusi penerimaan orang tua dan teman sebaya secara simultan terhadap harga diri emerging adulthood di Jawa Barat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi penerimaan orang tua dan teman sebaya terhadap harga diri emerging adulthood di Jawa Barat, dilihat dari masing-masing variabel maupun secara simultan. The purpose of this study was to examine the contribution of parental and peer acceptance to the self-esteem of emerging adulthood in West Java. Respondents in this study (N=462) were individuals who were in the period of emerging adulthood aged 18-24 years in West Java. Respondents filled out a questionnaire that had been adapted into Indonesian with the reliability of each instrument being 0.86 for the self-esteem instrument (The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale), 0.92 for the father acceptance instrument (Parental Acception Rejection Questionnary Father Version), 0.93 for the mother acceptance instrument (Parental Acception Rejection Questionnary Mother Version), and 0.79 for the peer acceptance instrument (Perception Acceptance Scale). The sampling technique used is accidental sampling, for the analysis technique simple regression analysis is used to determine the contribution of parental acceptance to self-esteem, and the contribution of peer acceptance to self-esteem, then multiple regression analysis is carried out to determine the contribution of parental and peer acceptance simultaneously on the self-esteem of emerging adulthood in West Java. The results show that there is a contribution of acceptance of parents and peers to the self-esteem of emerging adulthood in West Java, seen from each variable and simultaneously.
