Abstract
Telah dilakukan studi penerapan model pembelajaran generatif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika pada pokok bahasan Gelombang. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 41 siswa kelas XII IPA pada salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes penguasaan konsep berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah berupa soal uraian sebanyak 4 soal yang diujikan melalui pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa pada pokok bahasan Gelombang dengan kategori tinggi (<g>=0,70). Penguasaan konsep terendah diperoleh pada sub pokok bahasan Laju Gelombang dan peningkatan penguasaan konsep tertinggi diperoleh pada sub pokok bahasan Gelombang Stasioner. Selain itu, peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah fisika menggunakan konsep gelombang berada dalam kategori sedang (<g>=0,48). Dengan demikian secara umum penerapan model pembelajaran generatif dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika. The study of generative learning model implementation was conducted with the purpose to increase concept mastery and physics problem solving skill on Wave matter. This research was using the descriptive method with one group pretest and posttest design. This research was held at one of high schools in West Bandung Regency with research subjects are 41 science students of 12th grade. The research instruments were 20 multiple choice of the mastery concept test and 4 essays of the problem solving skills test, which were tested through pretest and posttest. The results showed an increase in students' mastery of concepts on the matter Wave which is on the high category (<g> = 0.70). Lowest concept mastery was obtained at Wave Speed topic and the highest one was at Transverse Wave topic. In addition , an increase in the ability of students’ physics problem solving skills through the Wave concept is on the average category (<g> = 0.48). Thus in general the implementation of generative learning model can improve concepts mastery and problem solving skills of physics.
