Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SD. Rendahnya aktivitas di dalam kelas yang melibatkan siswa ke dalam interaksi aktif menjadi salah satu penyebabnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan pencapaian komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model kooperatif tipe TPSq dan pembelajaran langsung, ditinjau secara keseluruhan siswa dan berdasarkan kelompok PAM. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSq adalah model yang memberi kesempatan bagi siswa untuk dapat menyampaikan ide-ide matematisnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non-equivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD tahun ajaran 2016/2017 pada dua SD di Kecamatan Cimanggung, sedangkan yang menjadi sampel adalah satu kelas V yang diambil pada masing-masing SD tersebut. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebagai instrumen pokok dan lembar observasi. Data yang dianalisis adalah data hasil pretes dan postes. Berdasarkan hasil uji perbedaan rerata dengan independent 2 sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol ditinjau secara keseluruhan dan berdasarkan PAM sedang dan rendah, sedangkan untuk PAM tinggi tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe TPSq lebih memberikan manfaat terhadap siswa kategori PAM sedang dan rendah, maka model ini sangat sesuai diterapkan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memiliki PAM sedang dan rendah. ----- This research is motivated by low mathematical communication ability of elementary school students. The low activity in the classroom that involves the students into the active interaction becomes one of the causes. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of mathematical communication achievement of students who get TPSq type cooperative model and direct learning, reviewed whole student and based on PAM group. TPSq type cooperative learning model is a model that gives opportunity for students to be able to convey their mathematical ideas. The method used is quasi experiment with Non-equivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Population in this research is all student of class V SD of academic year 2016/2017 at two elementary school in Kecamatan Cimanggung, while the sample is one class V taken at each elementary school. The instrument used is a matter of test of mathematical communication ability as main instrument and observation sheet. The data analyzed is pretest and postes data. Based on the results of the test the difference of average with independent 2 sample t-test shows that there are differences in the achievement of students' mathematical communication ability between the experimental class and the control class reviewed overall and based on medium and low PAM, while for high PAM did not show any difference in achievement of mathematical communication ability between Experimental class and control class. Learning with TPSq type cooperative model is more beneficial to students of moderate and low PAM categories, so this model is very suitable to be applied in developing students' mathematical communication ability which have medium and low PAM.
