Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan pendidik dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di masa pandemic Covid-19. Pembelajaran yang sebelumnya dilakukan secara jarak jauh dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai sarana penunjang pembelajaran, kini harus kembali dilakukan secara tatap muka meski belum sepenuhnya. Hal tersebut tentu menjadi sebuah dilemma karena pendidik dan peserta didik harus kembali beradaptasi agar pembelajaran tetap terlaksana dan tujuan pembelajaran tetap tercapai. Di SMPN 1 Cijambe sendiri pembelajaran tatap muka (PTM) telah dilaksanakan secara terbatas. Dalam mensiasati hal tersebut sebagian besar pendidik di SMPN 1 Cijambe memakai model blended learning dalam pelaksanaan pembelajarannya. Salah satunya dalam pembelajaran IPS, pendidik menilai model blended learning ini dapat menjadi alternative pembelajaran saat ini dimana pembelajaran dapat dikombinasikan antara pembelajaran online dengan pertemuan tatap muka. Karakteristik Blended learning juga sesuai dengan dimensi pembelajaran IPS yang dinamis mengikuti perkembangan zaman dengan cakupan materi yang cukup banyak dan beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan model blended learning dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMPN 1 Cijambe. Inti dari penerapan model blended learning dalam pembelajaran IPS ini adalah sebagai alternative pembelajaran di masa pandemic yang masih butuh penyesuaian antara pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan pembelajaran tatap muka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Langkah-langkah dalam pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengolah data kualitatif dengan mengungkapkan data serta fakta melalui kata-kata selama penelitian berlangsung. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model blended learning dalam pembelajaran IPS ini memudahkan pendidik dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Terutama dalam penyampaian materi. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS dengan model blended learning ini masih ditemukan kendala yang mempengaruhi penerapan model tersebut. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran Tatap Muka, Pembelajaran Online, Blended learning, Pembelajaran IPS “THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BLENDED LEARNING MODEL IN SOSIAL STUDIES LEARNING” (Qualitative Descriptive in VIII-E Grade Cijambe’s Junior High School) Lichen Ayu Asyifa 1604453 ABSTRACT This research was motivated by educators difficulties in carrying out learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Learning activity was previously carried out remotely by utilizing technology as a means of supporting learning,. Although not fully implemented, but learning activity are carried out face to face now. This is certainly a dilemma because educators and students must adapt again so that learning activity can continue and learning objectives still be achieved. SMPN 1 Cijambe are one of thousands school in Indonesia that carry out limited face to face learning. In dealing with this situation, most of SMPN 1 Cijambe’s educators are use the blended learning model in the implementation of their learning. Sosial studies educator are one of them, blended learning model can be an alternative where learning activity can be combined between online learning and face-to-face meetings. The characteristics of blended learning are in accordance with the dynamic sosial studies learning dimensions following the times and has quite a lot of material coverage. This study aims to describe how the blended learning implementationl in sosial studies learning at SMPN 1 Cijambe. The essence of applying the blended learning model in sosial studies learning is as an alternative to learning during a pandemic which still requires adjustments between distance learning and face-to-face learning. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The steps in data collection include observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis in this study was carried out by processing qualitative data by revealing data and facts through words during the research. The results of this study indicate that the application of the blended learning model in sosial studies learning makes it easier for educators to carry out learning. Especially in the delivery of material. In the implementation of sosial studies learning with the blended learning model, there are still obstacles that affect the application of the model.
