Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya praktik pembelajaran daring menggunakan google meet sebagai platform yang digunakan SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. Pembelajaran melalui google meet memerlukan keterampilan mengajar guru yang baik agar proses pembelajaran dapat berjalan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi google meet pada pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan secara daring dengan mengakses platform google meet serta penggunaan fitur video call. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Guru IPS di SMP Negeri 3 Lembang menggunakan google meet sebagai platform pembelajaran daring dengan menerapkan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yaitu pendahuluan, kegiatan inti dan penutup. Guru IPS di SMP Negeri 3 Lembang menerapkan sebagian besar keterampilan mengajar dalam proses pembelajaran daring. Namun keterampilan membimbing diskusi kelompok dan perorangan belum secara keseluruhan diterapkan oleh guru IPS. Adapun beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru IPS dalam menggunakan google meet yaitu lebih dominan dengan keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana siswa serta keterbatasan kuota, jaringan dan komunikasi. Solusi yang dilakukan yaitu melakukan komunikasi antara guru, wali kelas dan orang tua, serta pihak sekolah menyediakan fasilitas penunjang pembelajaran daring. Kata Kunci : Google meet, keterampilan mengajar guru IPS, Pembelajaran daring IPS ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the practice of online learning using Google Meet as the platform used by SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. Learning through Google Meet requires good teacher teaching skills so that the learning process can run effectively. This study aims to determine the implementation of google meet in social studies learning. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with data collection in the form of interviews, observations and documentation studies. The research was conducted online by accessing the google meet platform and using the video call feature. The results in this study indicate that social studies teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Lembang use google meet as an online learning platform by implementing learning steps, namely introduction, core activity and closing. Social studies teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Lembang apply most of their teaching skills in the online learning process. However, the skills of guiding group and individual discussions have not been fully implemented by social studies teachers. There are several obstacles faced by social studies teachers in using google meet, which are more dominant with limited student facilities and infrastructure and limited quota, network and communication. The solution is to communicate between teachers, homeroom teachers and parents, and the school provides online learning support facilities.
