    Abstract

    This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in economic
    subjects as indicated by the average odd grade report card for the 2021/2022 school
    year, which is still a lot of students less than the Minimum Completeness Criteria
    (KKM) in several class XI Social Studies SMA Negeri in Bandung Regency. The
    purpose of this study was to find out and analyze how distance learning describes
    and student learning outcomes, the effect of distance learning on learning outcomes
    and the motivational effect of moderating the effect of distance learning on learning
    outcomes. The method used in this study was an explanatory survey with data
    collection techniques. through questionnaires and observations. The population of
    this study were 2,495 students in class XI Social Sciences at the State Senior High
    School in Bandung Regency, while the sample was 364 students. The data that has
    been collected is then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and path
    analysis. The results showed that: (i) distance learning was in the medium category,
    learning motivation, and student learning outcomes were in the high category. (ii)
    distance learning has an effect on learning outcomes. (iii) the moderating variable
    of motivation affects distance learning on learning outcomes.
