Abstract

Model flipped classroom mendukung mahasiswa untuk aktif dan bertanggungjawab terhadap pembelajaran yang mereka jalani. Model tersebut dapat menjadi pilihan alternatif untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi Covid-19. Pada pelaksanaannya, dosen berperan sebagai fasilitator belajar harus dapat memandu dan membimbing mahasiswa untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah dan efektivitas penerapan model flipped classroom pada pembelajaran daring alat musik rapa’i pada mata kuliah Terapan Etnomusikologi di Program Studi Sendratasik Universitas Syiah Kuala. Tujuan lainnya yaitu untuk menginformasikan tanggapan mahasiswa dan dosen terhadap penerapan model flipped classroom pada pembelajaran daring alat musik rapa’i. Pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan melibatkan media zoom meeting dan whatsapp. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode formative research. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 20 mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Terapan Etnomusikologi di Program Studi Sendratasik Universitas Syiah Kuala dan satu orang dosen. Pengolahan data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menjabarkan penerapan langkah-langkah model flipped classroom dan tanggapan mahasiswa serta dosen pengajar. Sedangkan pengolahan data secara kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model flipped classroom melalui perhitungan nilai N-gain. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa langkah-langkah pada model flipped classroom dapat terlaksana dan perkuliahan secara daring pada mata kuliah Terapan Etnomusikologi berjalan baik meskipun terdapat beberapa hambatan pada proses pelaksanaannya. Hambatan yang dialami karena faktor koneksi internet dan ketersediaan alat musik rapa’i. Selanjutnya, efektivitas penerapan model flipped classroom memperoleh kategori sedang dengan nilai N-gain 0.3. Mahasiswa dan dosen antusias dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan model flipped classroom secara daring. The flipped classroom model supports students to be active and responsible for their learning. This model can be an alternative choice for the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. In practice, the lecturer acts as a learning facilitator and must be able to guide and guide students to achieve the learning objectives that have been set. This study aims to describe the steps and effectiveness of applying the flipped classroom model to online learning of rapa'i musical instruments in the Applied Ethnomusicology course at the Sendratasik Study Program, Syiah Kuala University. Another goal is to inform students and lecturers' responses to the application of the flipped classroom model in online learning of rapa'i musical instruments. The online learning carried out involves the media zoom meeting and whatsapp. The method used is formative research method. The research participants consisted of 20 students who took the Applied Ethnomusicology course at the Ballet Study Program at Syiah Kuala University and one lecturer. Data processing was carried out qualitatively by describing the application of the flipped classroom model steps and the responses of students and lecturers. Meanwhile, quantitative data processing is carried out to determine the effectiveness of the application of the flipped classroom model through the calculation of the N-gain value. The results showed that the steps in the flipped classroom model can be implemented and online lectures on the Applied Ethnomusicology course are going well even though there are some obstacles in the implementation process. The obstacles experienced were due to internet connection factors and the availability of rapa'i musical instruments. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the application of the flipped classroom model obtained a medium category with an N-gain value of 0.3. Students and lecturers were enthusiastic and actively participate in carrying out learning with the flipped classroom model online.
