Abstract

Kajian ilmiah kali ini disebabkan karena rendahnya kompetensi peserta didik dalam memahami dan mengidentifikasi suatu bacaan di kelas IV SDN Buanamekar, Kecamatan Cipeundeuy, Kabupaten Subang, Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 yang terdiri dari. 20 peserta didik dalam penelitian ini. Secara rinci, terdapat siswa laki-laki sebanyak 12 orang dan siswa perempuan yang berjumlah 8 orang. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal dan relevan dengan masalah yang ada, peneliti memilih Model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran yang berdampak positif terhadap hasil pembelajaran Tema 6 Cita-citaku Subtema 3 Giat Berusaha Meraih Cita-cita Pembelajaran 2 setelah diterapkannya model tersebut. Metode penelitiannya terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dengan kata lain menggunakan metode Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Data-data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan tes, observasi, dan studi dokumenter melalui instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi yang telah dijelaskan di atas mampu memperbaiki aktivitas dan hasil pembelajaran di kelas IV SDN Buanamekar. Pernyataan tersebut diperinci dari presentase rerata nilai pra siklus siswa sebanyak 45%. Selanjutnya, di siklus I mengalami peningkatan menjadi 72%, lalu yang terakhir pada siklus II mencapai 95%. Dengan demikian, model tersebut dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran tematik. This research was conducted in 4th grade students of SDN Buanamekar, Cipeundeuy District, Subang Regency, and Academic Year 2018/2019. There were 20 students who participate in this research, in detail consisting of 12 male students and 8 female students. The model of learning that applied in this research is the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). The purpose of this research is to study fourth grade students at Buanamekar Elementary School during learning Theme 6 “My Dream” Sub-topic 3 “Actively Trying to Achieve Dreams” Learning Lessons 2 after using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Models. This research uses the Classroom Action Research Method (CAR) which consist of 4 stages such as planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data of this research were collected through observation and documentary studies and using research instruments in the form of test results. From the results it can be concluded that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition Model (CIRC) can improve the learning of fourth grade students at SDN Buanamekar. It can be seen from the percentage of the average value in the initial data of students is 45%. Then, in the first cycle it increased to 72%, and the cycle II increased to 95%.
