Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya guru yang masih mengabaikan kualitas soal yang disusunnya, terutama tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas dan reliabilitas soal Ujian Akhir Semester 1 di MTs. Mohamad Toha tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, dengan metode khusus yaitu metode statistik deskriptif dan metode statistik inferensial. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik studi dokumentasi. Untuk mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitas soal dilakukan analisis validitas isi, validitas empiris, tingkat reliabilitas, dan tingkat kelayakan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, diperoleh data sebagai berikut: berdasarkan validitas isi soal hasilnya cukup valid, sesuai dengan enam aspek yang telah dianalisis. Tingkat kesukaran soal yang cukup, dikarenakan lebih banyak soal yang mudah daripada soal yang sukar. Tingkat daya pembeda soal cukup baik, karena soal untuk bentuk pilihan ganda kelas VII 55%, VIII 42,5%, dan IX 62,5%, sedangkan soal untuk bentuk esai kelas VII 80%, VIII 100%, dan IX 80%. Tingkat reliabilitas soal yang cukup, karena hasil analisis reliabilitas soal bentuk pilihan ganda kelas VII 0,75, VIII 0,47, dan IX 0,69, sedangkan untuk bentuk esai kelas VII 0,54, VIII 0,6, dan IX 0,61. Tingkat kelayakan soal yang cukup dalam bentuk soal pilihan ganda dan bentuk esai dari kelas VII, VIII, dan IX. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa soal Ujian Akhir Semester 1 bahasa Sunda di MTs. Mohamad Toha tahun ajaran 2013/2014 mempunyai tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas cukup. Oleh karena itu, guru harus memperhatikan tingkat validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik dalam pembuatan soal. Kata Kunci: analisis, validitas, reliabilitas This study was conducted as an answer of teachers' ignorance on the quality of the questions design, specifically its degree of validity and reliability. This study was aimed to describe the degree of validity and reliability of the first semester examination at MTs. Mohamad Toha year 2013/2014. Descriptive method was employed in this study which specifically used descriptive and inferential statistic method. Technique that was employed in this study is documentation study technique. An analysis of content validity, empiric validity, the degree reliability and degree appropriateness was conducted in order to find out the validity and reliability of those data. Based on the result of the analysis, the data gained as follow: based on six aspects analyzed, the data showed an adequate content valid. The degree of difficulty was adequate since there found that the number of difficult question less than the easier. Moreover, there found an adequate grade in differentiating the questions for the reason that for multiple choice questions in 7th grade the degree was 55%, in 8th grade was 42,5% and in 9th grade was 62%, whereas for essay questions there found in 7th grade was 80%, 8th grade was 100% and 9th grade was 80%. Furthermore, the degree of reliability was adequate because the analysis result showed that reliability of question in multiple choice form in 7th grade was 0,75, in 8th grade was 0,47 and 9th grade was 0,69, whereas in form of essay questions showed that in 7th grade was 0,54, 8th grade was 0,6 and 9th grade was 0,61. The degree of the appropriateness was adequate as well in all grades in form of multiple choice and essay. By seeing those results, it can be concluded that first semester Sundanese examination in MTs. Mohamad Toha year of 2013/2014 achieved an adequate degree of validity and reliability. Thus, is important for the teachers to pay more attention with the degree of validity and reliability in designing the evaluation. Keywords: analysis, validity, reliability
