Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan pada saat peneliti melakukan pengamatan di lapangan bahwa terdapat lima anak tunarungu kelas XI di SLB B Sukapura yang kurang termotivasi dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ini, sehingga pencapaian dari mereka belum mencapai optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media video tutorial dalam peningkatan keterampilan vokasional membuat hand sanitizer bagi anak tunarungu di SLB B Sukapura Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis one group pre-test post-test design. Penelitian ini menggunakan test perbuatan sebagai teknik pengambilan data dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 5 orang yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yakni tahap awal untuk mengetahui nilai anak sebelum diberikan perlakuan, tahap kedua perlakuan dan tahap ketiga yakni test akhir untuk mengetahui nilai anak setelah diberikan perlakuan. Nilai dari pre-test dan post-test diolah dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil dari seluruh tahap yang diberikan, diperoleh peningkatan kemampuan yang cukup signifikan, hal itu dibuktikan dari adanya peningkatan nilai hasil kegiatan keterampilan vokasional membuat hand sanitizer diikuti dengan peningkatan kualitas belajar selama pelaksanaan proses kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa video tutorial terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional membuat hand sanitizer bagi anak tunarungu di SLB B Sukapura Kota Bandung. Indikator efektif yaitu menunjukan sikap teliti, cermat dan tekun selam kegiatan berlangsung, memahami dengan baik tujuan dari pembuatan hand sanitzer, mengenal alat dan bahan, serta dapat mempraktekan setiap langkah pembuatan hand sanitizer dengan baik dan benar. Sehingga membantu anak dalam belajar mengenai keterampilan vokasional agar semakin kreatif dan inovatif. This research is motivated by the problem found when researchers made observation in the field that there were five students with hearing impairments at Class XI of SLB B Sukapura who were less motivated in carrying out vocational skills learning that’s make their achievement had not reached the optimal at this current situation in pandemic Covid-19. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of media tutorial video in improving vocational skills in making hand sanitizer for student with hearing impairments at SLB B Sukapura Bandung. The research method that used is pre experiment with one group pre test post test design. This research uses action test as a data collector technique with five students as research sampel who consists of three stages, that is first the initial stage is to find out the students value before being given treatment. Second stage is treatment, and the third stage is the final test to find out the value of students after being given a treatment. The values of pre test and post test was processed using the Mann Whitney test. The result from all given stages obtained a significant increase of the ability, that’s proved by the value of the results of vocational skills activities makes hand sanitizer followed by an increase in the quality of learning during the implementation of the activity process. The result of the research state that video tutorials were effective in improving vocational skills in making hand sanitizer for students with hearing impairments at SLB B Sukapura Bandung.The effective indicators are students show a careful and diligent attitude during the activity, understand well the purpose of making hand sanitizer, knows tools and materials, and understands to practice every step of making hand sanitizer properly and correctly.So that’s helps students learning about vocational skills to be more creative and innovative.
