Abstract
berprestasi melalui pembelajaran jarak jauh.
Konektivitas internet siswa selama pembelajaran daring.
interaktif.
The Covid-19 pandemic initiated a vast digital transformation and forced us to take a
tremendous digital leap in education. Most educational institutions in the world affected
by Covid-19 have switched from the classroom system to online learning using online
media. Educational institutions have their own strategies in implementing online learning
depending on the conditions. This affects the poorer quality of education and irregular
learning centers, especially in secondary vocational schools or in Indonesia known as
Vocational High Schools (SMK) which are very far from expectations for outstanding
students through distance learning. The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) the online
learning process carried out by vocational students, (2) the ability of students to understand
the subject matter during online learning, (3) students' internet connectivity during online
learning. The research method applied in this research is descriptive quantitative using
survey research conducted online. The participants involved in this study were 420
students. The results of the study revealed that the online learning process for SMK students
was generally carried out by working on the questions given by the teacher through online
classes. Less interactive learning activities between teachers and students, only 28,3% of
students learn interactively with teachers using Zoom. Students’ understanding of the
subject matter, 46,7% of students are less able to understand the material when learning
online. The state of students’ internet connectivity based on the coverage of the internet
network in the area where they live, in the range of 50%-60% of students have good internet
connectivity. However, ±40% of students have poor internet connectivity and even a few
percent of them have poor internet connectivity so they can’t carry out interactive online
learning.
