Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbantuan multimedia interaktif sel volta (MISV) pada pemahaman representasi makroskopik, submikroskopik dan simbolik siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain “nonequivalent control group”. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Kabupaten Majalengka kelas XI jurusan Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL) pada tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 64 siswa yang dibagi ke dalam 33 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 31 siswa kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes awal dan tes akhir pemahaman representasi siswa dan angket siswa. Data dianalisis dengan uji-t sampel bebas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbantuan multimedia dapat meningkatkan pemahaman representasi makroskopik, submikroskopik dan simbolik siswa. Rerata N-Gain pemahaman representasi pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,65 (sedang) dan kelompok kontrol sebesar 0,49 (sedang). Hasilnya tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rerata pemahaman representasi makroskopik dan simbolik siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan nilai p sebesar 0,719 dan 0,785. Namun, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rerata pemahaman representasi submikroskopik kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dengan nilai p sebesar 0,000. Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbantuan multimedia baik dengan persentase rerata skor angket sebesar 76 %. The research method used was quasi-experimental with "nonequivalent control group design". It was implemented in SMK Negeri 1 Majalengka class XI-RPL in the academic year 2012/2013. Research subjects in this study consisted of 64 students who were divided into 33 students of experimental group and 31 students of control group. Data were collected through the initial test and final test of understanding representation test and student questionnaires. Data were analyzed by Independent t-test. The results showed that the voltaic cell Interactive multimedia learning can improve students’ understanding of macroscopic, sub-microscopic and symbolic representation. The mean N-Gain of understanding representation in the experiment group is 0.65 (moderate) and control group is 0.49 (moderate). It can be concluded there was no significant difference between the average understanding of macroscopic and symbolic representation of experimental group and control group with p-value 0,719 and 0,785, but there was significant difference between the average understanding of sub-microscopic representation of experimental group and control group with p-value 0,000. Students’ response to voltaic cell Interactive multimedia (VCIM) well with the average percentage score of 76 %.
