    Abstract

    Pembelajaran yang baik merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam melatih keterampilan siswa. Berdasarkan studi terdahulu menunjukan rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa, sehingga harus ada upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut melalui proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan CVS (control of variable strategy) diprediksi dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas Pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan CVS (control of variable strategy) terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasy-exsperiment dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 60 peserta didik kelas XI di salah satu SMA Negeri di kota Bandung. Instrumen pada penelitian ini berupa pilihan ganda menggunakan instrumen tes keterampilan proses sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan CVS (control of variable strategy) efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik berdasarkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen, uji peningkatan n-gain pada tiap kelas yang menunjukan kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori sedang sedangkan kelas kontrol berada pada kategori rendah, dan uji dampak (effect size) yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

    Good learning is very important in training student skills. Based on previous studies, it shows the low skills of students' science process, so there must be efforts to improve these skills through the learning process. Guided inquiry learning using CVS (control of variable strategy) is predicted to be effective in improving students' science process skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning using CVS (control of variable strategy) on students' science process skills. The research method used is Quasy-experiment with the research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study consisted of 60 students of class XI in one of the public high schools in Bandung. The instrument in this study was a multiple choice using a science process skills test instrument. The results showed that guided inquiry learning using CVS (control of variable strategy) was effective in improving students' science process skills based on a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class, the n-gain increase test in each class showed that the experimental class was in the category. while the control class is in the low category, and the effect size is in the medium category.
