Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya learning obstacle yang dialami siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar pada konsep volume kubus dan balok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat desain didaktis pembelajaran berdasarkan hambatan pembelajaran (learning obstacle) siswa pada materi volume kubus dan balok. Partisipan penelitian ini dilaksanakan dikelas lima Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Sumedang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode DDR (Didactical Design Research) dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif untuk menentukan hambatan belajar siswa, kemudian membuat lintasan pembelajaran hipotetik (learning trajectory) dan antisipasi didaktik pedagogis. Hambatan pembelajaran yang diidentifikasi terkait pemahaman konsep volume, serta pemahaman tentang jaring-jaring kubus dan balok. Desain didaktis yang dikembangkan terdiri dari empat lesson design yang terdiri dari beberapa situasi didaktis. Kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menggunakan berbagai metode termasuk metode ceramah, diskusi, praktik dan latihan soal. Selain itu menggunakan media pembelajaran yang dimodifikasi berupa kubus satuan yang terbuat dari kayu dengan warna yang berwana warni dan kubus transparan yang terbuat dari kaca/ plastik, serta mengunakan smartboard. Berdasarkan hasil analisis mengenai antisipasi implementasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain didaktis ini dapat menciptakan situasi belajar yang lebih aktif dan menyenangkan sehingga dapat meminimalkan hambatan belajar dan membuat siswa lebih mudah memahami materi pelajaran. Kata kunci : hambatan belajar, desain didaktis , volume kubus dan balok, Didactical Design Research, DIDACTICAL DESIGN OF CUBES AND CUBOIDS VOLUME FOR 5TH GRADE STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Asep Kuniawan NIM 0806306 ABSTRACT This research was motivated by learning obstacle in 5th grade of elementary school student in learning volume of cube and cuboid. This study was conducted to create a didactic learning design based on students' learning obstacles in learning volume of cubes and cuboids. Participants of this study were the fifth grade students of Elementary School in Sumedang. Method used in this study was DDR (Didactical Design Research) method and data collecting was conducted through observation, interview, and documentation. Qualitative data analyzing was implemented to determine students’ learning obstacles and afterwards create hypothetical learning trajectories and pedagogical didactic anticipation. Identified learning obstacles were related with undersconcept of volume, as well as understanding the nets of cubes and cuboids. The didactic design developed consists of four lesson designs consisting of several didactic situations. Learning activities were carried out using a variety of methods including lecture methods, discussions, practices and exercises. In addition, using modified learning media in the form of unit cubes made of wood with colorful colors and transparent cubes made of glass / plastic, and using a smartboard. Based on the analysis results about anticipated implementation it can be concluded that didactic design can create a more active and fun learning in order to minimize learning obstacles and make students way easier to understand the subject matter.
