Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan berpikir elaborasi menggunakan model pembelajaran STEAM Project Based Learning, tujuan dari penelitian ini agar menjadi salah satu model pembelajaran yang efektif, menarik dan berpengaruh positiif terhadap perkembangan anak usia ini dengan menggunakan metode campuran (mixed methods) yang biasa disebut metode kombinasi kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian concurrent embedded. Dilakukan dengan memberikan 3 kali treatmen selama 7 kali pertemuan yang melibatkan 5 anak-anak yang berumur 5-6 tahun sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir elaborasi anak-anak dalam STEAM Project Based Learning yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya kriteria perkembangan anak-anak, STEAM Project Based Learning ke 1 anak-anak 100% berada pada kriteria mulai berkembang (MB), kemudian ke 2 meningkat menjadi 60% berada pada kriteria berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH), lalu ke 3 mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan yaitu 60% masuk kriteria berkembang sangat baik (BSB). This research was conducted to identify the ability of thinking elaboration by using the STEAM Project Based Learning model, the purpose of applying the STEAM Project Based Learning learning model in order to become one of the effective, interesting and positive learning models for the development of this age. This study uses mixed methods or research approaches (commonly called qualitative and quantitative combination methods with concurrent embedded research designs. This research was conducted by giving 3 treatments for 7 meetings involving 5 children who were 5-6 years old as research subjects. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets and documentation. The results of this study indicate an increase in children's elaboration thinking skills in STEAM Project Based Learning which is characterized by increasing children's development criteria, STEAM Project Based Learning to 1 child 100% is in the criteria of starting to develop (MB), then STEAM The 2nd Project Based Learning increased to 60% in the criteria of developing according to expectations (BSH), then the 3rd STEAM Project Based Learning experienced a significant increase that is 60% included in the very well developed criteria (BSB).
