Abstract

Pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika jarang sekali diperhatikan oleh guru. Padahal, kemampuan berpikir kreatif ini melekat dalam diri siswa, sehingga kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika sangat penting. Penelitian terkait hal tersebut mengambil materi segiempat dan segitiga, karena materi ini memiliki karakter masalah yang terbuka. Adapun, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMP pada materi segiempat dan segitiga. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons siswa terhadap aktivitas dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan mengujikan soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika pada materi segiempat dan segitiga serta dilakukan wawancara terhadap aktivitas siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal yang dikerjakannya. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Kota Bandung. Analisis data berdasarkan pada penskoran jawaban siswa serta ketercapaaian indikator berpikir kreatif pada setiap kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif subjek penelitian yang mewakili setiap kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif memiliki gagasan yang berbeda dalam menunjukkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Di antara keempat indikator, indikator originality yang paling sukar untuk dicapai oleh setiap kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, sedangkan untuk indikator flexibility dapat dicapai oleh hampir semua kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Di lain pihak, indikator fluency dan elaboration dapat dicapai oleh sebagian kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Respons siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif menunjukkan adanya kesulitan dalam memahami kalimat pada soal yang berkaitan dengan menggambarkan bangun datar tertentu. The development of creative thinking skills of students in learning mathematics are rarely noticed by the teacher. In fact, the ability to think creatively is inherent in the student, so the ability of creative thinking of students in learning mathematics is very important. Research related to this take the material a quadrilateral and a triangle, because this material has the character of the open problem. Meanwhile, this study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking abilities of junior high school students on the material of the quadrilateral and the triangle. In addition, this study also aims to determine the response of the students to the activity in solving creative thinking skills. The research method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach carried out with the test about the test the ability to think creatively mathematics on the material of the quadrilateral and the triangle as well as interviews of student activity in completing the matter of which he has earned. The subject of this research is students of class VII at one of the junior high school in Bandung. Data analysis based on scoring students ' answers as well as readability indicators of creative thinking in each of the criteria of creative thinking skills. The results showed that the ability of creative thinking of the subject of research that represents any of the criteria of creative thinking skills has a different idea in showing indicators of creative thinking skills. Among the four indicators, the indicator of the elaboration are the most difficult to be achieved by each of the criteria of creative thinking skills of students, where as for the indicators of flexibility can be achieved by almost all the criteria of creative thinking skills of students. On the other hand, indicators of fluency and elaboration can be achieved by most of the criteria of creative thinking skills of students. The response of students in solving the ability to think creatively shows the difficulty in understanding the sentences on a matter related to describe the wake of a particular flat.
