    Abstract

    Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya adaptabilitas karir terhadap peserta didik sekolah menengah kejuruan. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi adaptabilitas karir adalah dukungan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengkaji seberapa besar kontribusi dukungan sosial terhadap adaptabilitas karir peserta didik sekolah menengah kejuruan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII SMK 1 Cimahi Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 yang melibatkan 645 subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) kecenderungan umum adaptabilitas karir berada pada kategori adaptif, dengan perolehan rata-rata tertinggi pada dimensi kepedulian (concern). (2) kecenderungan umum dukungan sosial peserta didik berada pada kategori cukup baik (pair social support), dengan perolehan rata-rata tertinggi pada dimensi dukungan informasional. (3) Hasil pengujian korelasi menggunakan product moment pearson menunjukkan p=0,000<0,05 yang artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara adaptabilitas dan dukungan sosial peserta didik dan hasil pengujian koefisien determinasi menunjukan dukungan sosial berkontribusi sebesar 14,9% pada adaptabilitas karir. Temuan penelitian berimplikasi pada perlunya pengembangan adaptabilitas karir dan dukungan sosial secara beriringan melalui layanan bimbingan karir.;

    The background of this research is the importance of career adaptability among vocational high school students. One factor that underpin career adaptability is social support. This study aims to examine how much social support contributes to the career adaptability of vocational high school students. The research was conducted to student of the twelfth grade of SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi Academic Year 2018-2019 which involved 645 research subjects. The results show (1) career adaptability of twelfth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi in general was in the category of adaptif, with the highest total score gain in the concern (2) social support of twelfth grade students of SMKN 1 Cimahi in general was in the category of pair social support, with the highest total score gain in the instrumental support (3) correlation test using Pearson product moment show a p= 0,000 < 0.05, which means there was a significant correlation between the students’ perceived sosial support and career adaptability. The result of the coefficient of determination test show that social support contributed 14,9 % to career adaptability. The finding of the research have implication for the need to develop career adaptability simultaneously using career guidance.
