Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan yang menunjukkan bahwa Disposisi Berpikir Kritis (DBK) siswa SMA masih cenderung rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan disposisi berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan asesmen kinerja pada praktikum Fisika SMA. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode mixed method embedded experimental. Tahapan pelaksanaan penelitian meliputi: 1) tahap sebelum intervensi yang terdiri dari studi lapangan, studi pustaka, perancangan asesmen kinerja yang terintegrasi dengan materi praktikum Fisika SMA; 2) tahap intervensi yang terdiri dari ujicoba terbatas dan tahap validasi atau ujicoba luas; dan 3) analisis data QUAN (kual); dan 4) interpretasi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group prestest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IPA pada dua Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Lubuk Sikaping, Sumatera Barat. Jumlah siswa yang terlibat pada tahap ujicoba terbatas yaitu 27 siswa. Pada tahap ujicoba luas menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen yang terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu kelompok 1 (32 siswa) dengan capaian akademik tinggi dan kelompok 2 (36 siswa) dengan capaian akademik sedang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes esai, kuisioner, dan lembar observasi DBK. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan gain dinormalisasi <g> dan effect size. Analisis data non-tes dilakukan dengan menggunakan persentase serta analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asesmen kinerja dapat mengembangkan DBK Fisika. Karakteristik penerapan asesmen kinerja diantaranya yaitu: a) asesmen kinerja dapat mengembangkan DBK melalui penggunaannya sebagai assessment for learning dan as learning; b) asesmen kinerja terdiri dari task dan rubric; c) umpan balik dan penilaian diri menjadi elemen penting dalam implementasi asesmen kinerja; d) melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam praktikum Fisika di SMA. Siswa juga memberi tanggapan positif terhadap implementasi asesmen kinerja pada praktikum Fisika SMA. This research was based on the reality that students’ Critical Thinking Dispositions (CTD) in high school were still low and needed developing. The purpose of this study was to develop students’ CTD by using performance assessment on physics practice. The study was conducted using the mixed method embedded experimental. The stages of conducting research included: 1) the stage before the intervention which consisted of field studies, literature studies, performance assessment design that was integrated with CTD Physics practicum material; 2) the intervention phase consisting of limited trials and validation phase by implementing performance assessments; and 3) QUAN (kual) data analysis; and 4) interpretation. The research design used was pretest-posttest design group. The subjects of this study were science class students at SMA N 2 Lubuk Sikaping, West Sumatra. The number of students involved in the trial phase was limited to 27 students. In the validation phase at SMA N 1 Lubuk Sikaping, extensive trials using one experimental class were divided into two groups, namely group 1 (32 students) with high academic achievements and group 2 (36 students) with moderate academic achievements. The instruments used in this study consisted of essay tests, questionnaires, and CTD observation sheets. Data analysis was performed using normalized gain and effect size. Analysis of non-test data was carried out using percentages and descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that the performance assessment effectively developed students’ CTD. The characteristics of the application of performance assessment included: a) performance assessment which aimed to develop students’ CTD was an assessment for learning and as learning ; b) performance assessment consisting of task and rubric; c) feedback and self-assessment were important elements in the implementation of performance assessments; d) actively involving students in Physics practicums in high school. The results of student data analysis gave a positive response to the implementation of performance assessments in high school Physics practicum
