Abstract
ABSTRAK Rizki Melinda Sari (1504370). Big Data dalam Knowledge Management di Perpustakaan (Studi Kasus Konten Digital di Perpustakaan Telkom University). Skripsi Departemen Kurikulum dan Teknologi Pendidikan, Program Studi Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (2020). Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari berkembanganya Internet of Things (IoT) yang berbasis pada mobile computing, cloud computing dan big data dikarenakan lahirnya era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Dimana sedikit banyak telah mempengaruhi berbagai sektor bidang dalam kehidupan masyarakat termasuk di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Salah satunya di Perpustakaan Telkom University yang memanfaatkan big data dalam kegiatan knowledge management di perpustakaan. Penelitian dilakukan di Perpustakaan Telkom University di Jl. Telekomunikasi, Terusan Buah Batu yang terletak di Lt. 5 Gedung Manterawu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji mengenai bagaimana pemanfaatan big data dalam kegiatan knowledge management di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi yaitu perpustakaan Telkom University dalam mendukung dan mengembangkan potensi aset pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh civitas dalam bentuk konten digital di perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui teknik triangulasi dengan menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan big data dalam kegiatan knowledge management yang dilakukan di perpustakaan Telkom University sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik, diantaranya pada proses sosialisasi, eksternalisasi, kombinasi dan internalisasi. Meskipun tidak menutup kemungkinan untuk semakin dikembangkan sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan kualitas pelayanan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. One of them is at Telkom University Library which utilizes big data in knowledge management activities in the library. The study was conducted at the Telkom University Library on Jl. Telekomunikasi, Terusan Buah Batu which is located on the Lt. 5 Manterawu Building. The purpose of this study is to examine how the use of big data in knowledge management activities in the college library, Telkom University library, in supporting and developing the potential of the knowledge assets owned by the civitas in the form of digital content in the library. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Sampling of this study was conducted by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are done by interview, observation and documentation study. Data were analyzed through triangulation techniques using data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The research findings show that the use of big data in knowledge management activities conducted at Telkom University library has been implemented well, including in the process of socialization, externalization, combination and internalization. Although it does not rule out the possibility to be further developed so as to optimize the quality of service in the college library. Keywords: Big data, Knowledge Management, Library
