Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model Survey, Question, Read, Recite, dan Review (SQ3R) lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional, serta untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model Survey, Question, Read, Recite, dan Review. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian merupakan siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP di Kota Cimahi. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kelas kontrol dan kelompok kelas eksperimen. Kedua kelompok tersebut diberikan pretest untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal literasi matematis siswa. Setelah pretest, kelompok eksperimen mendapat perlakuan dengan menerapkan model Survey, Question, Read, Recite, dan Review selama proses pembelajaran. Kedua kelas diberikan posttest setelah perlakuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan software Microsoft Excel dan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model Survey, Question, Read, Recite, dan Review lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional, serta sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model Survey, Question, Read, Recite, dan Review adalah positif.;---This research aims to determine the improvement of mathematical literacy skills of students who get learning with the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review (SQ3R) model is higher than students who get conventional learning, and to determine the student's behavior towards mathematical learning by using Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review model. This research is done with kuasi experiment method and design of research which used is Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research population is a second grades student in one of Junior High School in Cimahi. The sample consists of two groups, there is the control class group and the experimental class group. Both groups were given a pretest to determine mathematical literacy initial skill of students'. After the pretest, the experimental group received treatment by applying the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review model during the learning process. Both classes were given posttest after treatment to know the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical literacy skills. Processing and data analysis processed with Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. The result of the research shows that the improvement of mathematical literacy skills of students who get learning with Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review model is higher than students who get conventional learning, and the student's behavior towards mathematical learning by using Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review model is positive.
