Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian eksperimen semu tentang penerapan model quantum teaching untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan kemampuan metakognitif materi alat optik siswa SMA. Sampel penelitian ini siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA di Manokwari tahun pelajaran 2012/2013,dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes hasil belajar ranah kognitif yang mencakup aspek mengigat (C1), memahami (C2), (C3) menerapkan dan menganalisis (C4), skala sikap kemampuan metakognitif, lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan skala sikap tanggapan guru dan siswa. Kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model quantum teaching sedangkan kelompok kontrol mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar ranah kognitif meningkat dengan kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi 0,74 untuk kelas eksperimen sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan kategori peningkatan sedang dengan rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi 0,52. Peningkatan kemampuan metakognitif pada kelas eksperimen ditunjukan dengan gain yang dinornalisasi 0,34 pada kategori sedang sedangkan pada kelas kontrol pada kategori kurang dengan gain yang dinormalisasi 0,24. Hasil uji statistik (uji Mann-Whitney) menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran model quantum teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan kemampuan metakognitif secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran model konvensional. Terdapat hubungan positif antara hasil belajar ranah kognitif dengan kemampuan metakognitif siswa. Guru dan siswa memberikan persetujuan terhadap penerapan model quantum teaching masing-masing (70%) dan(79,5 %). An instrument used covering study result of the test the domain of cognitive which includes the aspect of remember (C1 ), understand ( C2 ), ( C3 ) apply and analyze (C4 ), charges of attitude metakognitif, the ability of the scale sheets sustainability programs of learning and the scale of the attitude of the responses of teachers and students. A group of experiments get learning to a model quantum teaching while the control group get learning with the conventional one. The result showed that the domain of cognitive study result of the increases with the category of high with an average of normalized 0,74 gain for the class experiment while class of control by category with the average increase was gain normalized 0,52. Increased capacity metakognitif to that class of the experiment can be seen from gain dinornalisasi 0.34 in the prologue and being while to that class of control in the prologue and less by the gain normalized at 0.24. The results of the test of statistics ( Mann-Whitney ) indicating that the application of quantum teaching learning model can improve study result of the domain cognitive and ability metakognitif significantly compared with learning the conventional one. There is a positive connection between study result of the domain cognitive to the ability of metakognitif students. Teachers and students giving assent against the implementation of quantum model teaching each ( 70 % ) and (79,5 %).
