Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Cooperative Learning tipe Group Investigation dan pembelajaran langsung. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain control group pre-test post-test. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 60 siswa sekolah dasar. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa berdasarkan rata-ratanya : (1) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi bangun datar yang memperoleh pembelajaran model cooperative learning tipe group investigation lebih tinggi dari siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. (2) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kriis matematis siswa pada materi bangun datar yang memperoleh pembelajaran model cooperative learning tipe group investigation lebih tinggi dari siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung;---This study aims to obtain an overview of the achievement and improvement of the ability of mathematical understanding and critical thinking of students in learning by applying the Cooperative Learning model type Group Investigation and direct learning. The method in this study was quasi experiment with the control group pre-test post-test design. The subjects in this study were 60 elementary school students. From this study it can be concluded that based on the average (1) achievement and an increase in the ability of students' mathematical understanding of flat-build material which obtained a cooperative learning model type group investigation model was higher than students who received direct learning. (2) the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical thinking ability in flat building material which obtained a higher learning cooperative learning type group investigation model than students who received direct learning
