Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya perhatian terhadap masalah identitas dan budaya dalam studi musik populer dan studi kontekstual etnografi genre tertentu terutama dangdut selama beberapa dekade terakhir. Seiring perkembangan zaman, dangdut menjadi jauh lebih modern dan alat-alat musik baru semakin membuka peluang variasi bagi musik dangdut. Berdasarkan hal itu penulis akan menganalisis penggunaan keyboard dalam mengkonstruksi musik dangdut era 1970 -2000. Tujuan yang akan dicapai pada penelitian ini mengetahui penggunaan keyboard dalam musik dangdut dari era 1970 – 2000 dalam hal pengolahan melodi, harmoni dan warna suara. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu data literatur dan musikal. Dari penelitian ini dihasilkan perkembangan melodi dari era 1970 – 2000, pengolahan progresi akor pada setiap era 1970 – 2000 dan pemilihan warna suara yang populer pada era 1970 – 2000. Kata Kunci : Keyboard , melodi, harmoni, warna suara. This research is motivated by the lack of attention to the problem of identity and culture in the study of popular music and contextual ethnographic studies of certain genres, especially dangdut over the past few decades. Along with the times, dangdut became much more modern, the new musical instruments are increasingly opening opportunities for variation in dangdut music. Based on that, the writer will analyze the use of the keyboard in constructing dangdut music in the 1970 -2000 era. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to find out the use of keyboards in dangdut music from the era of 1970 - 2000 in terms of melody processing, harmony and timbre. Data collection used is literature and musical data. This research resulted in the development of melodies from the 1970-2000 era, the processing of chord progressions in each of the 1970-2000 eras and the selection of popular timbre in the 1970-2000 era.
