    Abstract

    Penerapan Levels of Inquiry untuk jenjang SMP yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan bereksperimen dan meningkatkan penguasaan konsep pada materi Tata surya SMP. Konsep Tata surya sering disampaikan secara singkat dan informatif padahal materi ini dapat meningkatkan antusias siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP di Lembang kepada 30 orang siswa kelas VII. Penelitian Quasy experiment dengan one shoot pretest-posttest design. Identifikasi kemampuan bereksperimen siswa menggunakan instrumen Lembar Kerja Siswa dari tiga pertemuan dengan eksperimen yang berbeda, hasil yang didapatkan adalah dari poor (jelek), fair (cukup), dan good (baik). Sedangkan hasil penelitian penguasaan konsep siswa dari hasil pretest dan posstest diolah menggunakan uji t pihak kanan dengan hasil peningkatan penguasaan konsep Tata Surya di SMP setelah diterapkan model Levels of Inquiry dan hasil peningkatan menggunakan n-gain dengan skor 0.48 yakni dalam kategori sedang/cukup.;--Apply model of teaching Levels of Inquiry in the middle school for identifying experimental skills and enhancing mastery of concept in solar system matter could make students have an enthusiastic moment when they study science in the classroom. Research conducted in one of the middle school in Lembang to 30 students of seventh grade. Quasy experiment research with one shoot pretest-posttest design. The results of identifying students’ experimental skills use students worksheet from three different meetings are poor, fair, and good. While the result of the students’ mastery concept from pretest and posttest result is processed using paired samples t test. The result is Levels of Inquiry could enhance mastery of Solar System concept in the middle school and result using n-gain with score 0.48 in medium category.
