Abstract

Saat ini siswa lulusan SMK banyak yang belum terserap dalam dunia kerja, berdasarkan data dari Badan Pusat Statistika (BPS) tahun 2018 yang menunjukkan bahwa lulusan SMK menduduki urutan kedua penyumbang pengangguran menurut pendidikan terakhir yaitu sebesar 1.424.428 jiwa. Pengangguran dari lulusan SMK seharusnya tidak menunjukkan angka sebesar itu karena lulusan SMK telah disiapkan dan dibekali kompetensi keahlian untuk memasuki dunia kerja.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor kesiapan SMKN 6 Bandung menghadapi dunia industri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 13 orang. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah faktor-faktor kesiapan SMKN 6 Bandung menghadapi dunia industri terbagi menjadi dua macam yaitu faktor pendukung kesiapan SMKN 6 Bandung menghadapi dunia industri dan faktor penghambat kesiapan SMKN 6 Bandung menghadapi dunia industri. Faktor pendukung kesiapan SMKN 6 Bandung menghadapi dunia industri yaitu kerjasama antara industri dengan SMKN 6 Bandung, pelaksanaan praktik kerja lapangan (PKL), teaching factory (TEFA), dan penguasaan kompetensi pada siswa serta faktor penghambat kesiapan SMKN 6 Bandung menghadapi dunia industri yaitu kesulitan belajar, alat praktikum yang tidak memenuhi standar, dan ketidaksesuaian tempat PKL. Ditinjau dari kesiapan menghadapi dunia industri, SMKN 6 Bandung belum siap karena masih ada faktor penghambat kesiapan sehingga belum memenuhi kriteria.;--At present there are many vocational high school graduates who have not been absorbed in the world of work, this is supported by the existence of data from the Central Statistics Agency (CSA) in 2018 which shows that vocational high school graduates ranked second to unemployed contributors according to the latest education amounting to 1,424,428 people. Unemployment from vocational school graduates should not show such a large number because vocational high school graduates have been prepared and equipped with skills competency to enter the work world. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors of readiness of Bandung Vocational High School 6 to face the industrial world.. The research method used in this study is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Respondents in this study were 13 people. The findings of this study are the factors of readiness of SMKN 6 Bandung to face the industrial world divided into two kinds, namely the supporting factors of readiness of SMKN 6 Bandung to face the industrial world and inhibiting factors of readiness of SMKN 6 Bandung to face the industrial world. Supporting factors for readiness of SMKN 6 Bandung to face the industrial world are collaboration between industry and SMKN 6 Bandung, implementation of On the Job Training (OJT), teaching factory (TEFA), and mastery of competency in students and inhibiting factors for readiness of SMKN 6 Bandung to face the industrial world namely learning difficulties , practicum tools that do not meet the standards, and the mismatch of street vendors. Judging from the readiness to face the industrial world, Bandung Vocational High School 6 is not ready because there are still factors that inhibit readiness so it does not meet the criteria.
