Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran sejarah tentang revolusi fisik di Sumatera Timur berbasis pendidikan karakter terhadap hasil belajar dan penguatan karakter siswa, (2) Mengukur dan menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran sejarah tentang revolusi fisik di Sumatera Timur berbasis Pendidikan Karakter dan pembelajaran model konvensional terhadap hasil belajar dan penguatan karakter siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen. Populasi adalah seluruh sekolah di Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara dan sampelnya adalah seluruh siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Hulu. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Simple Random Sampling sehingga terpilih kelas IX IPA 1, IX IPA 2, IX IPS 1 dan IX IPS 3 sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini. Kelas eksperimen diberikan pembelajaran sejarah tentang Revolusi Fisik di Sumatera Timur berbasis Pendidikan Karakter dan kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes objektif dan angket. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa, (1) adanya pengaruh pembelajaran sejarah tentang Revolusi Fisik di Sumatera Timur berbasis pendidikan karakter terhadap hasil belajar dan penguatan karakter siswa. Pengaruh yang diberikan adalah pengaruh positif yakni terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar sejarah dan penguatan karakter siswa setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran sejarah tentang revolusi fisik di Sumatera Timur berbasis pendidikan karakter, (2) adanya perbedaan pengaruh antara penerapan pembelajaran sejarah tentang revolusi fisik di Sumatera Timur berbasis pendidikan karakter dan pembelajaran sejarah model konvensional terhadap hasil belajar sejarah dan penguatan karakter siswa. Perbedaan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran sejarah tentang revolusi fisik di Sumatera Timur berbasis pendidikan karakter lebih efektif meningkatkan kemampuan hasil belajar sejarah dan penguatan karakter siswa daripada pembelajaran sejarah model konvensional. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Sejarah, Revolusi Fisik di Sumatera Timur, Hasil Belajar, Penguatan Karakter This research purposes to: (1) identify and analyze the influence of historical learning about the physical revolution in East Sumatra based on character education on learning results and strengthening of student character, (2) measuring and analyzing differences in history learning influences about the physical revolution in East Sumatra based on character education and the conventional model of learning results and strengthening of student character. The research methods used a quasi experiments. The type of quasi experiment is a nonequivalent (pre-Test and post-Test) control-group design. The population is the entire school in North Labuhanbatu and the sample is all students at SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Hulu. The sampling technique is Simple Random Sampling so it was selected class of IX IPA 1, IX IPA 2, IX IPS 1 and IX IPS 3 as a samples in this study. The experimental class was given history learning about the physical revolution in East Sumatra based on character education and the control class with conventional models. The instruments used are objective and poll tests. The results concluded that, (1) There was an influence on history learning about the physical revolution in East Sumatra based on character education on the results of learning and strengthening the students ' character. The influence given is a positive influence, namely the increase of learning results and the strengthening of students ' character after gaining historical learning about the physical revolution in East Sumatra-based character Education, (2) the existence of differences in the influence between the implementation of historical learning about the physical revolution in East Sumatra based on character education and historical learning of conventional models on the results of learning history and strengthening of students character. This distinction suggests that history learning about the physical revolution in East Sumatra based on character education is more effective to enhancing the ability of learning results and the strengthening of students ' character than history learning with conventional models Keyword: History Learning, Physical revolution in East Sumatra, Learning Results, Character Reinforcement
